Pilchards Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 IF Martin O'Neil was the new Saints manager... I would............
thorpie the sinner Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 sing Edelweiss in the centre circle!! Def Brown then lol...
benjii Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Buy a scruffy tracksuit and practice jumping around like a little gheyer in homage.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Be very happy for about a year,then be very depressed when Cortese sacked him.
Pilchards Posted 1 September, 2010 Author Posted 1 September, 2010 I would sing 'There's only one Martin O'Neil from my staplewood tree if it happened.
SNSUN Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 I would prepare myself for solitary trips to St Marys. My missus, the Norwich fan, can't stand him after what, and I quote, "that ***** did to my club." Me personally would be overjoyed and surprised.
bridge too far Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Be very pleased to see him managing a team I support again (Wycombe being my second team)
sadoldgit Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Not going there as it is as unlikely as us signing the European Player of the Year.
saintsfannick Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 run around in circles for 10 minutes screaming!
thorpie the sinner Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Not going there as it is as unlikely as us signing the European Player of the Year. Like what you did there SOG
St Chalet Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 upgrade my broadband account to allow for his lengthy post match interviews.
bjk Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 It's probably the only appointment that could make me forgive Cortese
Pilchards Posted 1 September, 2010 Author Posted 1 September, 2010 He's the only bloke that would get us publicity again for the right reason. Yeah lets dream on hey?
NickG Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 initially thought it very unlikely but no so sure now - hardly as in demand or glamorous as Mourinhio, out of work and could see as a a good project. A good manager should get us promotion this year. All these candidates will see themselves as good managers and therefore have chance at some success
Red and White Russ Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Phone Mr O' Neil up and try to sell him some Payment Protection Insurance, just in case!
doggface Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 cant see it myself at all, though the rumours persist. If I had to wager £50 I would still put it on Zola - "rumour" I heard were that job was his subject to agreeing acceptable terms. pinch of salt & all that
kpturner Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 ...wake up just before the really good bit.
wightman35 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 If this happened, I'd be looking through The Saints Web to see who was complaining about the new managerial appointment.
thorpie the sinner Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 If this happened, I'd be looking through The Saints Web to see who was complaining about the new managerial appointment. 83% lol!!!!!!!!!
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Run naked through the streets of Buenos Aires no change there then! (-;
scott_saints Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 I would be amazed how everyone is creaming themselves, just because it's a "big name".
RedAndWhite91 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 no change there then! (-; no change there then! (-; no change there then! (-;
revolution saint Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Count the minutes till Alpine slagged him off. My guess is one.
Noodles34 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 yeah, cause you can imagine him and Corleone getting on swell. Why is that we think that someone like him would come down to this div? Jesus, I thought we were lucky to get Pardew, O' Neil no chance, face it, we will get a manager that has a bit of calibre in these leagues, someone like Tisdale or Brown, talk of O Neil. Strachan and Sven is folly, hopefully Zola is too.
Guan 2.0 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 **** a players wife and start a fight at staplewood.
MarkSFC Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Believe there really is a God!! Only that calibre will do.......
Smirking_Saint Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Actually taken a bet from my mate who said he would strip and rub his ballbag on Ted Bates statue if this happened. Oh, i would punch Dune

Strachan and Sven is folly, hopefully Zola is too. To be honest I agree with you but playing devils advocate for a bit what can MON actually hope for? He won't get a top four club now, or at least in the near future so that leaves premier league also rans (which he's just left) and ambitious second tier clubs. You'd have to say this would be an exciting project to take on so it's not beyond the realms of possibility although I'd admit very unlikely. Him and Cortese seem like a match made in hell but would be a lot of fun.
Pilchards Posted 1 September, 2010 Author Posted 1 September, 2010 Actually taken a bet from my mate who said he would strip and rub his ballbag on Ted Bates statue if this happened. Oh, i would punch Dune Please tell us when so everyone can stay clear.
St.Patrik Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Well Pilchards - this is interesting - why ask would you do if MON is the new manager and not - well let's say Dowie? I think you know something old chap... Reading between the lines here.
Saint_Si Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Weep with joy, probably! He's the only man that would make up for this mess with currently find ourselves in!
madruss Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Tell him to make sure he plays Guly in every game...or else!
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 I'd expect nothing more than world footballing domination in 5 years.
saint lard Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 (edited) It appears most are going to knock one out....well,if you can't beat 'em,join 'em.... Edited 1 September, 2010 by saint lard
saint lard Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 masturbate this i would maturbate in the centre circle I would ejaculate like a fountain. Martin o'neil should feel honoured.
Griffo Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 I will bare my backside in the window of Burton's.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 I will wonder whether he will make it to Xmas, but that will be true of any appointment now. However, I don't think there's a cat in hells chance of him coming to us - even if we were in the nPC he wouldn't because he knows (in fact most managers will now know) what comes with the territory....i.e. a lot of grief and intervention for a not very attractive salary over three years (although the bonuses for promotion might be very attractive I s'pose). It will be Howe or Zola IMO, although Howe could well be a disaster waiting to happen (for both parties).
