spyinthesky Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Not bad in the circumstances How did our gate shape up to others? However will struggle to exceed 18,000 for Saturday methinks!!
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 will only be about 14k on sat imo unless popular manager choice made before then.
Block 5 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 8,333 is our lowest ever attendance at SMS.
landford.saint Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 will only be about 14k on sat imo unless popular manager choice made before then. Well as we have 13000+ STH I'm guessing 14k would be great under estimation, probably closer to 20,000.
benjii Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 will only be about 14k on sat imo unless popular manager choice made before then. Nah, it'll be at least 17k (assuming Rochdale bring about 500 max).
hypochondriac Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 The poor attendance was due IMO to the pricing structure, the fact it was midweek and the Pardew thing (oh and the fact it was the JPT.) I think we have a very p*ssed off fanbase right now.
SNSUN Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 They certainly packed us in. I had some bloke's Arse in my face and was begging he didn't need to fart.
benjii Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Charlton had 4,600 last night. Wednesday are playing at home tonight I think. Just looking down the fixture list I doubt anyone else had more than we did.
hypochondriac Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Charlton had 4,600 last night. Wednesday are playing at home tonight I think. Just looking down the fixture list I doubt anyone else had more than we did. Still an extremely poor attendance for us. I really think we should adjust our pricing policy. We would have got loads more in had we done so.
Andy_Porter Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Ticket prices where a bit of a joke. I know £12 isn't expensive but it's still a big increase on the early rounds last season. If you paid the ticket tax, the ticket for last nigth would have been double the cost of Torquay and Charlton last season. Torquay, Charlton, Norwich and Luton where all cheaper last season, Even Ipswich was only a couple of quid more. Hopefully that will be the last time we play in the JPT, can't see it myself.
LA77 Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Still an extremely poor attendance for us. I really think we should adjust our pricing policy. We would have got loads more in had we done so. Totally agree. Surely it would make much more sense charging say £8 an adult ticket and a deal with kids. The money raised in the megastore and on food and drink would surely add up to more than 8,000 paying 12 quid. We would've easily got 12/14,000 in my opinion, if not more

Yeah, I don't doubt that if the tickets were cheaper more people would go. I think we can take that as a FACT. Not surprised it's down though. Last season it was a fun novelty. This season it could still have been fun but it's really a competition we didn't want to ever play in again.
.comsaint Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 It looked a bit sparse in these photos from last night http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/8364512.How_we_beat_the_Saints_photo_ban/

Appy Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Was a increase on last year, i paid 12 quid for last night and it was 3 quid for me to get in for the Charlton game last year. That was 2 rounds further on as well, i doubt it being on TV made it a 9 pound difference.

trousers Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 The attendance was almost double that of the next best attendance of the night. Glass half full and all that.
