Micky Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 My how things change. We ended last year on a high, just missing out on the play offs, but still had a great day out at Wembley - the mood was good and the expectations were high. Roll forward 4 months and how things have changed. What was meant to be 'our' year, the year in which we celebrate 125 years of this great club is slowly turning from outrageously optimistic to a total nightmare. With the sad passing of Markus still fresh in the mind, we have made a slow start in the league, the management team are sacked, and the one trophy that we have managed to win in some years is, tonight, ripped from our grasp in front of a meagre crowd at SMS. So, what are your expectations now - is this really turning into the Annus Horribilus that we all dread, or will we turn this one around and find the promised land of the CCC?
BadgerBadger Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Footballs great ain't it - a fukking rollercoaster. This 125th year will be remembered for sure, we're only a few games in, whatever next is anyone's guess.
Micky Posted 31 August, 2010 Author Posted 31 August, 2010 Indeed - it is rarely dull supporting this fooball club..!
ladysaint Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Hate those bloody white shirts, we havent played well wearing them yet, this anniversary year will certainly be one to be remembered plus the pitch this season is awful as well.
alpine_saint Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 A long way to go, but I agree it hasnt started well.
SarniaSaint Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 Hate those bloody white shirts, we havent played well wearing them yet, this anniversary year will certainly be one to be remembered plus the pitch this season is awful as well. How true. It's the "Curse Of The Shirt"
Rebel Posted 31 August, 2010 Posted 31 August, 2010 it is becoming an annus horribilis - but what did we expect - this is Saints - things always go wrong for us
sadoldgit Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 It all went downhill when we ditched the stripes.
Toomer Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 Hate those bloody white shirts, we havent played well wearing them yet, this anniversary year will certainly be one to be remembered plus the pitch this season is awful as well. Agree Jan, get rid of the sash get back in the traditional shirt and get the bloody pitch sorted.
benjii Posted 1 September, 2010 Posted 1 September, 2010 God, I had an anus horibilis the other morning. I don't know what they put in that curry but it didn't hang around.
