Positives

1. Not much traffic around leaving tonight

2. It's just a paint pot trophy :)

Negatives

1. Saw two good potential managers in the crowd tonight but they left at half time

2. Ricky gave up 2nd half

3. Barnard was unlucky to get sent off. Ref hopefully had his last game tonight.

4. Even Harding gave up his usual aggression to the ball boys

Well, one of last year's 'problems' has been addressed.

We're certainly not prioritizing the cups.

Was that performance the players' collective statement on the Pardew dismissal?

Cortese's next move had better be a good one.

The two managers: Who were they?

I am wallowing in a swamp of misery and self pity, desperately hoping for .... well, anything really. Go on NC finish the day off - sign Paul Hart.

Seriously? I feel sorry for you, utterly pathetic.

If we dont overcome the might of Rochdale on Saturday even Cortese would have to seriously wonder if he has done the right thing.

There will be a lot of unhappy people if we dont win.

Did not go,but the 15 minutes I heard on the radio sounded shambolic. Not worried about going out,but concerned with the display.

If the players we have play to their potential[big if at the moment],we should hardly lose any games in this league.

Cortese would never wonder that. He's always right.

Yet to win at home

Manager sacked

Cannot score against Swindon in 3 attempts

Linked with Hart who would be worse than Pardew

Nothing doing in transfer window

All of this in our 125th anniversary year.....great times

i think Cortese is starting to be shown up for the amateur that he is.

A bad part of me thinks it wouldve been better if he had croaked. - we would still have a billionaire owner who loves us and Pardew as a manager.

I can only be appeased if Keegan is appointed manager.

imo the players have let themselves and the fans down tonight. with the quality they have as a sqaud there performance was not to the standard it should have been regardless of who is in charge. hope words are said and everyone pulls together so there is no repeat come saturday. the season is still anew and promotion very much possible coyrs

Im not worried about the result, more that this is indicitive of our mood right now and Saturday will be similar.

My feelings too. I'm very worried that we will be in this division at least one more season now.

Just sacked our best manager in ages. 0-3 home defeat to a club yet to win a game this season. 8k gate. On form striker sent off and now suspended. Morale low.

"We recognise that frequent changes to the football management are unlikely to assist in the winning of trophies and promotions." - N. cortese

Yeah, we know.

Bugger, why did Swindon get the 3rd? I had lost out on an extra point in the prediction league.

No great surprise that we lost. The players were never going to be up for it.

No great surprise at the 'Only one Alan Pardew' chants (I would have sung it as well if I were there).

I only hope that we play better on Saturday and that we get a GOOD manager in ASAP.

N.B. By good I mean O'Neill, Mowbray or O'Driscoll.

Oh, and Barny is going to be a big loss for the next 3 games, especially with AL missing and not having brought in anybody else.

We got exactly what our play deserved, nothing. That was, imo, a poor performance. Whilst I think that Swindon were by far the better side, we had little to bother them.

Jonnyboy, your post is unpleasant re Cortese croaking.

Rudderless ship , choppy waters ahead , and a stowaway trying to guide us through the bay of biscay . Players now not focused , morale on the floor , Dean Wilkins = A@@ Licker to Cortese . Listening to his interview , he doesnt have a frigging clue , said we played well , mate get yourself down to spec savers you a@@ licker . Pardew cant believe your such a turn coat mate .

Big name required asap . Squad still a couple of players light especially down the wings and with Lallana now out for a period of time .

Exactly where I'm at. Got a proper sulk on. That was the worst saints game I've been to.

I saw Harding have a right go at one of em when he did nothing wrong! Is it a habit of his then?????

That was an absolute disgrace. For anyone who says being knocked out of the JPT is no big deal i suggest a reality check. This was OUR trophy and we've just handed it on a platter to someone else. What a ****ing disgrace of a performance.

The players should be ashamed of themselves - what a ****ing joke club we really are.

Take a f***in look at yourself saying that sort of thing. Sure apparently ML wanted rid of Pardew aswell. Disgusting comment!!

Just got home, lost for words that has got to be the worst performance since the double dutch days. The only player that can hold head up IMO is the Oxo kid when he came on. Cortese the next manager you take on had better be a good one or you will find that the fans will turn on you just give one Rupert Lowe a call he will bring you up to speed.
