Morning, Nicola maybe you could add yours here as many of us are intrigued

as to just what you feel is required, perhaps you should just put "instant success"

ALWAYS agree with the CORTESE way or its the high way? ;-)

Play the perfect game? Winning is just not enough nowadays at least when Real Madrid sack their managers for poor footballing style they've usually won the championship!

1. Good motivator /man-manager

2. Good understanding of english game, especially at League 1 level

3. Good contacts in game - able to move in transfer market

4. Good tactical understanding and ability to communicate tactics to team

Are you suggesting AP did not have those?

Tbh after spending as much as we have in the last year NC has the right to expect instant success....he may not get it but if he feels that we are not even going to come close then he is entitled to make changes to try and ensure success.

agree with all but that bit. Not sure how many decent Championship/Premier managers have a good understanding of league 1, and we do not want to do this all over again each time we get promoted. I think that if you are a good manager you should be able to adapt quickly to the league you are currently in.

This is true, Pearson did rather well with no knowledge of league one and very little management experience at all. I'd love to have him back. A competent CCC or PL manager should be able to manage at a lower level easily.

Ensure the team goes onto the pitch to go and win the game 1st, then having done that, then see the game through. Dominate from the back, right through the midfield and through our forwards

It may stick in the throat, but this is what the blue few did when they gained promotion from the championship.

I don't want to see Rickie left on, when clearly not fit, to be used solely a target for direct (high) balls into the box in the vein hope we may eek a goal at the end of a game in sheer desperation.

Or, as we have seen in the Plymouth game, direct high balls be played continuously into the box, when Rickie is sat in his suit in the directors box.

(1) Have a plan B if plan A is not working.

(2) Understand how to breakdown teams who camp the team bus in the penalty area.

(3) Get the best out of the team as it fields 7 players that would walk into any championship team.

(4) Have ambitions to take us straight to the Premiership just like the chairman has as he has drawn plans for a cracking future for SFC.

Excellent points Pilch..

Just got to find a mr perfect who can achieve all that and more or it will be the managerial

merrygo-round again

The problem is we have a similar situation to when we had Lowe in charge. Great opportunity for a manager to come in but having a complete tosser in charge limits who you can attract.

A football manager's career is a funny one, many good managers wont touch the SFC job because of Cortese IMO.

Sadly this is true, what looks like a dream job clearly isn`t as the chairman obviously thinks success in football

can be instant....

he certainly didnt have 2 or 4. 3 he did but im not in the dressing room to answer 1

2) Must play players that the chairman has signed

3) Must stand up when chairman enters the room

4) Must not make reference to previous heros
