OK. I have listened to all the gossip and rumour; considered all the arguments; looked at all the evidence; turned hearsay and speculation in to fact and have decided that the club will announce tomorrow, when NC returns from his meeting in Switzerland with the appropriate approvals, that our new first team management structure will be:

 

Director of Football - Martin O'Neill

First Team Coach - Nigel Adkins

 

Adkins will bring his buddies with him to fill the other roles.

The S****horpe Telegraph reports that last night Saints were given permission to speak to Nigel Adkins. They are running a poll and 67% think he will go. Look on newsnow Southampton/s****horpe iron.

I have been told that Massimo Ficcadenti will be unveiled as the new first XI coach today.

 

Apparently he got his team promoted to Seria A last season.

OK...some facts....(sorry to introduce them to the 'story')

 

1. He was Piacenza manager in serie B last season. They didn't get promoted

2. He joined Cesena in June (after they got promoted)

If it is Adkins I am sure (but hope I am wrong) but we will have another one of these threads before the end of the season!

 

For what reason? 3 and a half seasons as S****horpe manager and he's got then out of league 1 twice.

IF we do not look like going up he will be gone! I can see many of the players leaving in Jan and not being replaced. For me this is a cheap option and a step backwards, unless there is a bigger name with him.
