ottery st mary Posted 28 August, 2010 Share Posted 28 August, 2010 About bloody time too. The season started three weeks ago. It's the preparation FFS, now after four hard games we get it together. I hope this is the last time we see silly mixture teams playing 45 mins at a time in meaningless matches. Barnet, Sutton, Eastleigh etc a total waste of preparation time. Plymouth, Leyton Orient, Bournemouth and Bolton and now we are finally competitive. Give it a rest mate...Support the Saints and Pards is a Saint...Apart from a personal thing about Pards...you can still give some credit where it is due....surely...or maybe you and your little group know better.... SuperSAINT Posted 28 August, 2010 Share Posted 28 August, 2010 Scored 5 up there last season -- We're going backwards! Great result, sounded superb today. Pards was spot-on with his desire for an away game.

ottery st mary Posted 28 August, 2010 Share Posted 28 August, 2010 (edited) TBF you can still think Pardew has quite a few faults as a manager but praise him and the team today. I am of that opinion but am dead happy this evening. Finally I can have a nice weekend! hypo I totally agree...but some of these boyzz just go on about how poor Pards is supposed to be.. I am personally of the opinion that he is one of the better managers around and just right for the Saints.. Yes..everyone entitled to their opinion but derry, up and away and weston give the impression that Pards is without football knowledge or tactical nous...very much over the top... But then again I behaved in the same pathetic way about The Dutch boyzz and Rupes.....On second thoughts I was right for a change.. I will cease my challenge in respect of the little axe grinders group and leave it to Pards and King Nic to prove them wrong... He said he hoped he wouldn't forget the hard work that made him a great player for us last season. Pardew has said on SaintsPlayer that Lambert tries so hard to be the best he can, and I hardly think Lambert is a complacent player. He was injured in pre season and just needs a couple more games to find some form. He will, he is a class act.

Deppo Posted 28 August, 2010 Share Posted 28 August, 2010 probably the britsol rozzers have better sense than the t0ssers at SMS I think it is a bit harsh to call the fans at SMS t0ssers for getting upset, but I kind of agree, mate. I wouldn't call Bristol Rozers fans more intelligent, but I suppose if they didn't act like the Saints fans did we can't rely deny that they are. Good post. It's a good win away from home with the alleged pressure off. One swallow doesn't make a summer and until this team puts it's inhibitions behind it at home, there will be no satisfaction here. As for Pardew I've never rated him and up to now he has done precious little to prove me wrong given the resources he has at his disposal.

Alain Perrin Posted 28 August, 2010 Share Posted 28 August, 2010 Great win although there are still times we seem asleep at the back (from the radio anyway - interested what those at the game thought). Perhaps understandable when it's such a one sided game but there's still a weakness there (corners and FKs). We're off though. COYS

Last Sunday morning for our team's second friendly of the season he more or less turned up in Wednesday's full kit - he's 34 by the way.
