Don't want to admit it but I think you may well be right. Cortese wont hang around this season. Markus or no Markus, Cortese will make the decision which he thinks is best for the team.

He has dissapointed me with his lack of reaction when things aren't going well, he plans and buys well but just seems he can't change things soon enough or effective enough.

 

I hope he stays, mainly as i worry talents such as Lambert, Lallana and Spiderman lose commitment if he goes.

I would say that's one of his strong points, my only real gripes with Pardew are that he is from time to time too negative in his team selection / tactics and doesn't handle the press very welll.

 

There where plenty of times where Pardew turned a performance around with personnel and tactical changes - Brighton away, Orient away, Yeovil away etc.

I'm still not that sure. I thought I liked him but then I thought about it and I can't really think of anything other than his signings where he has performed above expectations. His tactics haven't been great, he takes too long to make substitutions, his post match interviews are uninspiring. I remain unconvinced by him.

Literally the opposite to what i see as i find his team selections good, 451 is a winning one, why anyone thinks it is defensive is beyond me. He is very articulate in his interviews, comes over very well and always says the right things.

 

Every team will win a few from a losing position. I just don't understand why he makes subs so late and sometimes doesn't change anything at all.

A quick look on some Rovers forums suggests they think we'll win comfortably tomorrow and Trollope is close to getting the boot.

 

Seems like they're hacked off with his defensive style of football, which means they'll probably run out 1-0 winners after scoring from their only shot. One fan came to the Bolton game and states we have quick wingers, although he may have actually been referring to some of the posters on this site and meant "whingers".

They are not Pardew's players. Whilst he obviously has a big say it is committee of Les Reed, David Burke plus Cortese and Pardew who make the final decision on any player.
