As I was on the bus home, I noticed out of the window standing at the upcoming bus stop a women. She was dressed in a veil.

I carried on scanning the surroundings when I also noticed a white van driving up the road.

I almost missed it, but just as I went to return to my book, I noticed the van driver wholeheartedly pointing and shouting inside his cab.

He was pointing at the women wearing the veil.

I dont know why but I just couldnt help laughing, quite loudly to myself about the drivers apart apapleptic rage

Maybe you had to be there but I found it funny.

Oh I see, I thought you were laughing because she was wearing a veil, so I didn't really get it. Sorry, I'm a bit slow!!!! You do get proper ott people like that though. When I was up in Edinburgh last year, there was a guy in a massive yellow hummer with a personalised numberplate in an army outfit booming out mantunes. You have to wonder about the mindset of some people... just plain weird.

Ohhh, when you said veil I thought you meant like a bride or something....

Yeah it wasnt what I would describe a traditional burka.

She was a nice lady and thanked me when I picked up her phone that she dropped when she got off the bus

There's nothing wrong with making muslims feel unwelcome

We don't give a damn about their welfare, we just don't want to be victims of terrorism

Do you drive a white van?

I was watching Newsnight yesterday evening. There was an interview with three 'women' wearing the full veil covering everything apart from their eyes. They looked completely idiotic. What sort of a moron deliberately goes out of her way to put two fingers up at the dominant culture? They are asking for trouble. They aren't wearing it for 'religious' reasons. They are deliberately setting themselves apart from their hosts. It makes my blood boil. Especially when I see soppy leftist idiots from our own culture trying to defend it. I won't see it banned, we don't ban things, but to have these doe-eyed muppets defend a medieval political ideology which advocates stoning adulterers and gays is beyond me. At least on Newsnight they had a rebuttal from another moslem woman who also did not like seeing the full veil worn. Now if only more moslems would speak out against it. Don't hold your breath though.
