NorthamSteve Posted 23 August, 2010 Posted 23 August, 2010 I'm now bandless. I play most things but NEVER indie crap in 4/4 that's horribly dull. If you're after an interesting drummer for something interesting, give me a shout. steve
NorthamSteve Posted 24 August, 2010 Author Posted 24 August, 2010 Some stuff I've done http://www.myspace.com/ratherband http://www.myspace.com/dustproofmusic
SuperMikey Posted 2 September, 2010 Posted 2 September, 2010 Might as well offer my services too as a bassist. Played in a few bands, done a few gigs but not vastly experienced. Pretty quick learner though, and can play most styles.
hypochondriac Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Not really done anything like that but I'm a good singer! Depends what we play
Baj Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Well... hahah, I'm a guitarist, singer and song writer
Durleyfos Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 My mates band is after a new singer after the old one fooked off to Germany.
NorthamSteve Posted 3 September, 2010 Author Posted 3 September, 2010 Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? Baj, what sort of stuff have you written?
Baj Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Quite rocky, but in your 4/4 style you dont like im afraid mate. Can pretty much adapt into any style. Im currently doing solo stuff, but would be happy to write and perform in another band.
suewhistle Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Weellll, I'm crackin' on the bones - really! Plus tin whistle, keyless and keyed flutes at a lot lower level. Somewhere I have a bodhran I can't really play anymore but would be OK with a bit of practice. Yeah, and 4/4 is a bit boring: I'd prefer a jig or two meself.
NorthamSteve Posted 3 September, 2010 Author Posted 3 September, 2010 How about a project a bit like the Postal Service?? We could start with a riff, so say Baj creates something and sends it to me, I add drums and pass it on and so on until it comes back to vocalists. Then once more around for QA and hey-presto a song. Would be very interesting.
SuperMikey Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Well, i'm moving to Soton on the 26th, so i'm free to do anything after that really. I'm relatively handy with recording/producing as well, so can help with demo recording too if anyone's looking for that.
RonManager Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Are we witnessing the first green shoots of the biggest megaband that the world has ever known here? As a published historian I would like to put myself forward as the band's official archivist/biographer. Also I once had a pic of The Clash & New Model Army published in NME.
fish fingers Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 I've done 3 years at dance college, specialised in modern jive. Perhaps i can put some moves together for you guys. Nothing too tough.
Baj Posted 3 September, 2010 Posted 3 September, 2010 Lol, what an epic thread. NorthamSteve. I have my own studio here and have recoded and produced stuff, so wouldn't really want to get involved in any more complicated projects like that. If however we go together as a 3, you, me, supermikey and had a play about, could see where it leads?
hypochondriac Posted 13 September, 2010 Posted 13 September, 2010 Pfft. My obvious talents as a singer were ignored.
Stuntman Mike Posted 13 September, 2010 Posted 13 September, 2010 I'm now bandless. I play most things but NEVER indie crap in 4/4 that's horribly dull. If you're after an interesting drummer for something interesting, give me a shout. steve Funnily enough I'm after a drummer to come and sit in my lounge. Your remit would be to bash a few drums when I make a joke in the house. That's it. Interested?
saint lard Posted 13 September, 2010 Posted 13 September, 2010 I can play the Uke,more like this....... not like this......well ok sometimes...

NorthamSteve Posted 17 September, 2010 Author Posted 17 September, 2010 I can play the Uke,more like this....... not like this......well ok sometimes... Amazing, I seen those guys live s couple of times. - Not Fornby of course...
Stanley Saint Posted 21 September, 2010 Posted 21 September, 2010 I could offer rhythm guitar (or a bit of lead), singing and songs, if you want a dual-lead vocal approach, Baj
