Just listened to AP on the Saints player. He says he hopes to bring at least one more hopefully before Saturday.

Probably mentioned already but with so many pages I can't be arsed to trawl through them. So mods if it has please feel free to delete.

I reckon its a winger as he did say Oxide will have competition soon.

Ah ha there is another poster who believes what AP & the club say.

Judging from the way that learned posters are getting their come uppance these days it's probably Adam Johnson on loan

AP talks about bringing at least another one before Saturday in the context of "adding to the goal scoring prowess". I suggest therefore he is almost certainly talking about a striker, assuming its not another attacking midfielder. I suspect he is looking to back up RL. Use of the term "at least" suggests more than one is possible.

I have been told it will be Zavon Hines on load from West Ham.

Not the most reliable of sources mind

Well given that West Ham look like signing Obinna and Zines is well down the list then it looks realistic. probably not quite what we need but could be good.

5ft 10" not exactly ideal.....but pacey

Thanks goodness the wrist slitters have been out in force over the last few days. Pardew must have read the threads about lack of signings and pulled his finger out! : )

Another surprise ? Can I cope.

Not to worried about tonight, if we lose I will be happy with a respectable defeat and no injuries.

Saturday, it would be nice to get that first win and really start the season !

Danny ward?

plays for bolton, stared at this level for Swindon lsat year and Owen Coyle said this morning that he wants to loan him out.

He can play on either flank or as a striker, he's very quick and tricky - not that tall though.

oh that's that then.

Abusive text sent to my 'source'

Hines is not so daft a call. He was injured in January but was supposedly hoping to be fit again for this season. If he is on his way back, it may be that West Ham see loaning him out to a lower division club as way to bring him back to full fitness.

Or maybe they just think he'll never be as good as he was before the injury!

I'd like to see Adam Le Fondre, although Rotherham claim they haven't had any enquiries.

97 goals in 240 games shouldn't be sniffed at.

You're welcome...

I'd love to see us sign Adam Le Fondre but I think it will more likely be one of Tom Craddock, Matt Phillips or Michail Antonio

Craddock now 4th choice striker in a (decent) non league club - gone off the boil in a short timeframe

I'd fully support this move.

I'm sure that will be a relief to AP and NC. NC 'OK Pards, the move for Boyd has been ratified by fingers so get ready for one more at training tomorrow.'

Third top scorer in the Conference National last season for Luton with 23 league goals in 40 appearences. One goal in 2 subsistute appearences so far this season. Not really that far off the boil then!

Maybe he was going to deliver a tracksuit to WGS's house as well? Or King Kev? Or Cosimo Sarli? God, I'm excited.

Hatters season ticket holder mate of mine (last season as well) says he is way down the pecking order, pre-season was noticeably worse. He was not even on the bench in the last match. Whilst Luton are a "big team" in the Conf, they are not that flush so hence may cash in for someone they dont think they need

Your mate needs his eyes testing then - Craddock came off the bench and scored in Luton's last match!

Apparently he was angling for a transfer in pre-season hence being dropped http://www.bedfordshire-news.co.uk/Sport/Luton-Town-FC/Toms-back-on-track-says-Hatters-boss.htm
