Thedelldays Posted 22 August, 2010 Author Posted 22 August, 2010 Redknapp as manager ?!?! yeah...he is clearly very good. just was never going to work well here with you know who
Whitey Grandad Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Please don't bring this up. I hate to see an old man cry, especially when it's me.
Matthew Le God Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Danny Guthrie was on loan, so never really a proper Saints player.
Thedelldays Posted 22 August, 2010 Author Posted 22 August, 2010 hmmm....forgot lambert....ok, drop fuller for lambert
The Kraken Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Crouch never played for Saints after we were relegated. Edit; scratch that, I think I just missed the point....

Colinjb Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Good lord, i've just been inspired to commit suicide. On second thoughts, sod it. I'll just drink a little.
SaintNeil90 Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 i know its not a popular choice... but i always thought Quashie was a good player.
Whitey Grandad Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Yes Quashie was a good player. I see that he was released by QPR at the end of last season. Any reason why nobody has mentioned Skacel? I'm surprised Jemaine Wright's not in that list, TBH.

Colinjb Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Andrew Davies.......what a player he was Absolutely, didn't look back once he left us.
Saint Billy Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 Watched Fulham V Man U today, it was like watching saints of old at the Dell. Same sort of passion, same small ground, ageing but full of atmosphere, same type of spirit where no team took getting a result for granted. It may be the wee libation talking but I miss those days. Yes I know even then it was not a bed of roses, we had our down times ie Branfoot etc, and some miserable players ie Speedy etc, but we also had some stars play for us. Which brings me to Delldays post, had we managed to survive in the prem we could have held onto some of the players mentioned possibly and turning out displays like that of Fulham today. Anyway, one midfield maestro and a winger AP, spend ya money son, and perhaps we can get those days back again.
rpb Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 following on from the blossoming performances by walcott and even more so bale... what team could we have had if we could pick any player we had during and since being relegated...... Which relegation exactly?
Tartarus112 Posted 22 August, 2010 Posted 22 August, 2010 no one mentioned cranie yet? I know he turned but still a pretty good player and one we desperately needed since. Only with Fonte have we found a quality centre back. Surely Viafara has to be ahead of guthrie? Far superior player.
