Johnny Bognor Posted 19 August, 2010 Posted 19 August, 2010 I'm not sure weather or not he was stitched up.

St Landrew Posted 20 August, 2010 Posted 20 August, 2010 That Thomaz Tabernacle, or whatever his name is, is a complete plonker, who has fits of giggles, forgets placenames and his script, and umpteen other things. Time was, when the Beeb used proper meteorologists { ], while everyone else used presenters. Thomaz Troubadour is just a presenter, who has very little idea of what he's actually whining on about. And I think the veteran BBC news anchor knew it. Oh right, he's called Tomasz Schafernaker. I was close.

Actually, he his a fully trained meteorologist who is employed by the Met Office ala John Kettley. I do agree though that he he a complete plonker. Unfortunately these days once these young met men/women get in front of a tv camera they seem to become brain dead would-be celebrities and the forecast becomes a side issue. Blame the BBC, they select the presenters from the Met Office staff.

Lets B Avenue Posted 20 August, 2010 Posted 20 August, 2010 John Kettley was a Weatherman "and so is Michael Fish."
bridge too far Posted 20 August, 2010 Posted 20 August, 2010 "The Met Office provides the meteorological data and the presenters, who front the bulletins for the television and radio broadcasts, and are paid for that by the BBC" http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/bbcweather/features/aboutbbcweathercentre.shtml There you go! But I agree - it seems looks are more important than ability. That seems to be the case for female presenters at least. Although I do admit to a slight penchant for Alex Deakin.
