Here are my thoughts:

1.45

What a race to start with 15 runners over 5 furlongs, and it is hard to ignore the claims of Walvis Bay, his drop to 5 furlong saw a much improved run last time, he is drawn well, is lightly raced and lightly weighted, if he fails to build on that run, then Hamish McGonagall is still in good form and can take a hand in the race.

Selection:Walvis Bay Runner Up:Hamish McGonagall

2.15

With favourite Dream Ahead now a non runner, this looks a very open race, the ground is an unknown but I should imagine would be good / good to soft, this will not inconvenience Waiter's Dream who loved those conditions last time out winning easily, jockey Fallon is in great form and can steer Waiter's Dream home to continue his improvement.

Selection:Waiter's Dream

2.50

Favourites have a bad record in this race winning just 2 in the last 10 runnings so Rewilding could be one to avoid, Midas Touch ran well last time and has form on all types of ground, Monterosso has had a good season but has raced quite a bit this season and it could be catching up with him although he had a break, Joshua Tree has a long break to overcome and could be anything, he has inform Spencer to guide him, as you have probably realised I have very little idea of who will win this, so will have a small wager on Stoute's Total Command, he has run at a variety of distances, but his only win has come at this trip and could take a hand in proceedings.

Selection: Total Command Danger:Everything

3.25

Cavalryman has been tipped by several tipsters and Ladbrokes only offered a skinny 16/1 on him compared to 33/1 from other bookies, despite the good form of the stable and the jockey and the positive vibes for the horse I cannot see him winning here, you can put a line of form through alot of these, with many having run against each other, but I am going to take a bit of a gamble on **** Turpin, there are question marks about him staying, but at the price on offer I am prepared to chance that, his form this season looks really good having beaten and been runner up to Canford Cliffs, and his second to Makfi got another boost at the weekend.

Selection: **** Turpin Danger: Not Staying

4.05

Wide open, not going into too much detail but Madany has done little wrong in 4 runs so far this year and looks good for his hattrick.

Selection: Madany Danger: Jaahiz

4.40

Red Jade will love this ground and horse, trainer and jockey remain in good form and can take this from Sirvino, who improved in leaps and bounds last year and was eyecatching on his seasonal debut and will come on for that.

Selection: Red Jade Danger: Sirvino

Good luck all

Not a bad start to the week with Hamish McGonagall coming in at 9/1 and Waiter's Dream well backed and winning at 5/2

Off to the memorial service in a minute so just a brief write up.

1.45

Mark Johnston has a great record in this race and his chances look good with both Chilly Filly and Yorgunnabelucky, Chilly Filly was beaten by his stablemate but improved greatly with the step up to this trip, Chilly Filly has done well since coming back from an injury and still has some improvement.

Selection : Chilly Filly Danger: Yorgunnabelucky

2.15

A wide open race with many of these having run against each other, King of Wands beat Illustrious Blue, Opinion Poll and Samuel last time out and I take him to come out on top again, the principal danger would be stablemate Samuel who was having a run after a long layoff when coming fourth and will improve again for the run.

Selection : King of Wands Danger: Samuel

2.50

Another wide open 2 year old race, Crown Prosecutor can be excused its last run as it was hampered in a rough race and will run much better this time, the one I side with is the least exposed of the bunch, Shropshire is a beautifully bred horse and won very easily on his debut, the stable think alot of this one and he could be a star. A horse at a big price to keep an eye on is Stuart Williams Gold Pearl his debut run behind Forjatt looks very good form and he built on that when winning, but was still very green.

Selection: Shropshire Danger: Gold Pearl

3.25

Another corker of a long distance race, I managed to wake up when at Glorious Goodwood to see Martyr trounce the field and he would have a great chance, but I am not sure how good that form was, Bernie the Bolt came back to form on its last run and was progressive last year, hopefully that will kick start a better run of consitency now, although the drop back in trip is a concern. The horse I really like the look of is Dirar, he comes here on the back of a great run over hurdles in Ireland, Gordon Elliott likes to have a gambled on horse so watch for any money going down.

Selection: Dirar Danger: Bernie the Bolt

4.05

Face the Problem looks the obvious choice here but will be at skinny odds, the one I like the look of is New Planet, the horse won on his debut for JJ Quinn, who is not renown for his 2 year old winners, but the horse was well backed on debut won nicely and with the eye catching booking of Fallon on board he could stir up the favourite along with Hannons Cadeux Pearl.

Selection: New Planet Danger: Cadeux Pearl

4.40

At last a race with under 10 runners, but no easier... I will choose Maid in Heaven to keep up Swinburns good form

Selection: Maid in Heaven

Good luck all

Doesnt seem many are looking at this thread but they missed another couple of nice winners yesterday with Dirar winning at 14/1 in the Ebor and New Planet at 17/2, lets see if we can keep it going today.

1.45

I fancied Wootton Bassett but is very skinny odds in such a competitive race, and may well hack up, but the best form on show is for Cape to Rio, he finished second in a listed race well clear of the third, if he repeats that form he will have a great chance and will only be susceptible to an improving sort. (keep stakes small)

Selection: Cape to Rio Danger: An improving type.

2.15

Again Maqaasid and Margot Did look to have this between them but offer little value, so keeping stakes low again I fancy Rimth, Paul Cole hasnt had a top class two year old for some time but Rimth looked very classy on her debut, she has had a small training problem, but if she can overcome that she could be anything. After yesterdays memorial I fancy a couple of silly pound on Perfect Tribute too.

Selection: Rimth Silly Selection: Perfect Tribute

2.50

Capponi is my selection here, he looked useful when winning over course and distance before struggling over further, dropped back to this trip and with Dettori on board Mark Johnston can continue his good record of taking 1 mile races with 3 year olds this year. If he fails to reproduce his good form or the draw is a problem Stoic looks a lively alternative, he was a decent horse last year but struggled in Dubai before running well from a poor draw at Ascot, if he can reproduce his 3 year old form, with the able assistance of Murtagh he could run a big race.

Selction: Capponi Danger: Stoic

3.25

Betting wise there isnt much between the front three in the market, Sariska has the best form on show and seems to have the beating of midday, but three year olds have a good record in this race, Snow Fairy is said to still be improving, if this is the case then she has to have a great chance to beat her older rivals, one at a bigger price that may surprise is Meeznah, who was only a neck behind Snow Fairy in the Oaks and didnt like the ground at the Curragh.

Selection: Snow Fairy Each Way bet: Meeznah

4.05

I thought Eldalil would be favourite so surprised to see she is not, she struggled on the ground at the Curragh last time out but looked useful before that, if Richard Hills can ride her up with the pace she has a great chance of winning this , Sense of Purpose ran just behind favourite Zarebiya last time but has a visor applied and could well turn that form around at a nice price.

Selection: Eldalil Danger: Sense of Purpose

4.40

A very tricky race to finish the day, Hoof It has been well backed this morning and is well drawn with in form Fallon on its back, but Perfect Blossom is in fantastic form and cannot be ignored, I also fancy Kingsgate Choice now back at 5 furlong, so those are my two against the field.

Selection: Perfect Blossom Danger: Kingsgate Choice

Good luck all

A bad day yesterday but still on top after a good couple of days, today looks competitive but some strong fancies.

1.45

Zuider Zee looks the likely favourite and could be above this grade, but questions marks about temperament and the trip mean no for me, Mark johnston has had a quiet York and because of that I will avoid his two at the head of the market, after having a winner yesterday Mark Prescott runs Comedy Act and that could be a danger, but I like the look of a big outsider, Christopher Wren has been in great form, the bit slipped last time out so that run can be ignored, over more favourable conditions he has a chance at a nice price.

Selection: Christopher Wren Danger: Comedy Act

2.15 Rainbow Peak is a very short price and because of that I steer away from him although he could win easily, for the value I fancy Godolphins Rio De La Plata to bounce back to form, he hated the soft ground last time and this track and going should suit much better, if returning to form he could push the fav all the way.

Selection: Rio De La Plata Danger: Favourite

2.50

A few non runners but still a wide open contest, Oasis Dancer seems to run a bad race then win, so it could be his turn to win, Mr David is an interesting runner but has a long absence to overcome, Michael Jarvis' horses have been running well this week and I fancy his Yaa Wayl to overturn form with Castles in the Air, Red Jazz looks likely to run his usual game race as well.

Selection: Yaa Wayl Danger: Red Jazz

3.25

It just has to be Starspangledbanner in this, I hate to tip such short priced runners but he is so fast, the draw has been very kind, he can bang out of the stalls and grab the rail, expect Equiano to push him all the way and be running on late...for a bit of value unexposed two year old Stone of Folca has a nice draw and has run in some top races this year. It would be great to see Borderlescott run a big race.

Selection:Starspangledbanner Danger: Stone of Folca

4.05

A seventeen runner maiden, and who knows what will win. My two against the field are Stoutes Star of Dance who was favourite last time, but should come on for the run and has some fancy entries, plus Fallon on board and Barry Hills Edmaaj, who ran very green last time but ran on well to finish a good second.

Selections: Star of Dance and Edmaaj

4.40

A two mile marathon to finish, Plymouth Rock cruised through the race last time out but found little when sent to the front, if Murtagh can leave his challenge to the last minute he could win this nicely, at a bigger price Becausewecan went off like a scalded cat last time out but still ran a big race, if settling Mark Johnstons horse could run well at a big price.

Selection: Plymouth Rock Danger: Becausewecan

Good luck

A great last day to the York meeting, two winners Rio De Le Plata at 7/1 and Yaa Wayl at 5/1 plus the rest of my tips placed.

Christoper Wren 3rd 20/1

Banner 6/4 2nd

Star of Dance 9/1 3rd

Becausewecan 20/1 3rd (my main fancy was a non runner so had a few quid on Hawk Mountain who won)
