I know someone who got 2 years because a 15 year old sent a picture of herself to his phone.

How someone can escape prison time when they have over 500 images of under 13s on their hard drive is beyond me.

I don't really understand this? Surely once a person is above the age of consent, legally it's not a problem (regardless of personal opinion)?

I find that very hard to believe. Sorry, may well be genuine and you may just be saying what you have been told, and no offence meant SC; but I think either someone has had you on or you are stretching the truth.

Was a typo, meant to put 15. Subscription ran out so couldn't edit.

Ah 15, makes more sense, but to be honest if it really were just a case of her sending him a picture unprovoked I can't see that he'd get 2 years. In my opinion I expect there was more to it than that?

She claimed he asked her for it. Not sure about the ins and outs or if anything else came up, and he only ended up serving 8 months, but I know i've got the original sentencing right.
