Proposed meet up/beer for Markus on Saturday 21st August before the Roar v Sydney game. See the Overseas forum and post on there - and also post here to bump so Aussie posters who mainly look here see it too. Only a week mods then it will slide anyway. Cheers.

Nice one Knightsbridge, I have an article to go in the Daily Echo this week about our meet up, Robbie Slater is hopefully going to be in attendance, I work at Suncorp on matchday so will be pitchside, I will round up the Red and White. I hope we can get a good turn out. C.O.Y.R

Am I the only one who is thinking the brissie saints must all be dyslexic??? lol

If we go to the match next week, we'll try and find you and the others, KINGSBRIDGE Saint! lol - just let us know where to find you.

For those getting tickets before the game to get the free public transport in - buy a ticket for the Caxton Street End behind the goals. That's the main area for the Roar fans but there is always loads of space off to the sides and we won't need to be in our allocated seats anyway.

I will be there on sat night as well. Will have my saints shirt on. Will try to get down to the caxton end if the stewards arent too strict on the seating, hopefully they wont be there wont be a huge crowd for the size of the stadium.

Would have love to come along to this, but annoyingly I'm working on Saturday. But deffo would be up for the next Saints meet up; anything nearer to the Gold Coast would be a bonus :-)

London - Majorca = 833 miles

There are a fair few of us in Melbourne, we just haven't got ourselves organised yet. It might have to wait until we go up a division or two but I would love if the Melbourne saints could get an organised pub for Fox Sports/Setanta games etc. I was dragged along by a few Liverpool mates to a pub in Bourke Street that was the new official home of the MLSA(Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association) Excellent atmosphere for a 1am Monday morning kick-off, although I did silently enjoy the last minute howler by Reina. For the first time in its five or so year history I will be getting involved with our national league. The new Melbourne side, Melbourne Heart have both our normal red and white home strip and our 125th year kit as their away strip. As far as quality of players go in the A-League(very poor) they are right up the top and should have a bit of success. Would be good to get some kind of partnership between the two clubs as Australian Football is on a rapid rise at both grass roots and at a professional level.

Fricking annoyed that Football Brisbane and it's many member clubs organise matches to clash with the Sydney game!!! I've got to referee this Saturday night!!!

I'd also like to add that its great seeing so many Saints shirts about when visiting all the local football clubs. I've seen the stripes at Redlands, Capalaba, Loganholme, Taringa and probably many more grounds..... compared to the amount of skates I spot it's a huge difference. Have fun - RIP Markus

I'm going to ask some old boys from the Cottage in Butlock's Heath where they used to go ashore in Melbourne. They were all on the Canberra/Oriana and used to stop off there. Maybe there's a link to Southampton in Melbourne already.

Aussie Dog, sorry I never made it clear, I meant down Melbourne way

I remember a group of about 12 or so saints fans from all over Melbourne would meet at the Charles Dickens in Collins street, when ever the saints were on tv.

but when we went down that was the end of that.

I reckon there'll be about half a dozen at the pub - quite a few can't get there due to work commitments. Might be a few more, who knows. Upsidedownsaint is inside the ground with 6 so he won't be at Kitty O' Shea's before anyway

I think there will be more than that at kitty O'sheas and in the ground. I'm sure there are other Brisbane Saints who have read this post and will be there but not necessarily responded on here. For whatever reason there are a lot of Saints fans in Brisbane, the majority being people ex Southampton who have moved over here but also quite a few Brisbane born fans.

Ive certainly watched Saints games on tv here when there have been well over 20 Saints fans in 1bar in the city centre alone. Anyway i will be at Kitty O'Sheas on Saturday around 5.30 proudly wearing my Saints shirt.
