Hi Mate, we met at a Roar game a few months ago. My footie/beer experiences have been severely limited by money and time! I have a killer question concerning Spice Avenue - how are they on veggie curries? My partner would love me forever if we could get a decent veggie curry (muttar paneer, chana - anything inventive with no meat). Now, even the most average place in the UK can normally sort out a decent veggie curry (though some places are worse than others) - the question is - do you think this place can do a decent veggie curry? I think we would weep tears of gratitude if we travelled the 50k from Redcliffe to Birkdale and got a proper (veggie) curry!

Balti Mixed Veg Jalfrezi (Hot)

Balti Mixed Veg Massala (Mild)

Aloo Chana (Mild)

Palak Paneer (Mild)

Mushroom Bhuna (Mild)

All on the Menu - about a dozen dishes in all.

You cant go wrong at this curry house.... it's my local (well actually there's 4 others within 3 miles of where I live, but Spice Avenue is by far the best!) I little pricey maybe?, but worth every penny :) Spoke with owner last night - they're closed for xmas, reopen 28th I think he said... Top bloke, family runs curry houses in NW2, London and Wolverhampton.. Proper 'English' indian curry.... and english beer (in cans) if you like... nice!

Up for a beer at kitty o sheas beforehand. I'll be there at 5.

So who's up for the GC derby game?! Bout time we beat these bastards! Not got a ticket yet, I probably get one tomorrow - use for train that way. Milton Road end? Beer in Kitty's be good... think the CC / Adelaide game is on beforehand. Plus the small mater of the Ashes at MCG.

Congrats on the performance of your team this season and the way you are keeping the Saints flag flying in Brisbane!

I was at our controversial 3-3 match a few weeks ago and while I was livid at the time there's no questioning the quality of your team.

We're finally starting to turn things down and hopefully might get another chance at the Roar in the finals!

At the Suncorp of course :) Keep the Saints Red and White flying down there, we will.. Meantime we've got the GC derby tomorrow, must win game. 3 points at Charlton too please NA. COYR!

Roar top of the League by miles and the Saints 2nd and on the charge at the time of this post. Looks like an opportunity for a pre game Magners at Kittys this Friday. Missed out last time on account of my 7 year old and the biblical rain, but I'll be there at 6pm in the stripes again.

Hey, I fully intended to go on Boxing Day too, but.... Anyway, I'll be there Friday for the Perth game, I work up the road from the suncorp, so too easy for a weekday game - planning on wearing this seasons kit... hope to see you in Kittys beforehand then...

G'day Lads, and what a weekend it's turnt out to be, sorry i couldn't get down to the Glory game, but still unbeaten in 20 games. i will defo be at the next home game v Wellington Phoenix. as for the Ashes, what a result for the Barmy Army 3-1, and glad to be part of the History sat in crowd at the Gabba with Peter. and as for the Saints.... 2nd in DIV1 and in the next round of the FA CUP following a 2-0 win over Premiership boys Blackpool.... get in there... and cheers to Brighton for knocking out the Skates... even though i would have liked Saints to have done it in the next round... Good ol' Days are comming back have a fun weekend boys...

Hey guys..... Firstly hope everyone in around Brisbane is safe and well....!? I think brightspark had the right idea to go down south to the CCM game tonight :)

Secondly, 6-NIL AWAY! Nice. Think that's 19 goals, one let in in the last 5 games.... COYR!

I've just seen the Suncorp's gone under water (and is on fire as I write, small generator fire hopefully comes to no more...). This also means the office I work in next to the river in Milton/North Quay is also getting its feet very wet... yippe! Given that, and the general situation, reckon Saturday's game is very doubtful... btw, where I live on bayside, you wouldn't even know anything was happening..... Consider myself very lucky. I'm 'working at home' today, and probably all week...

9 News had "vision" of the iconic Suncorp in a metre of water (remember Hillsborough a couple of years ago very similar). They were saying how people would think of State of Origin and Rugby Union matches. I was exclaiming "What about Roar finishing the title fccrissakes!" This could jeopardise the title, and winning it would be an emotional boost for QLD people!

That was the same day they flew over the Brisbane Strikers ground at Perry Park and said it was Newstead Bowls Club. Muppets.

fyi - this is what Suncorp Stadium is currently saying...

"The initial clean-up has been completed and work has now commenced on the massive recovery programme ahead.

The progress of these extensive works and the availability of essential equipment and trades will influence when the Stadium will be ready for events to be held. The next scheduled Brisbane Roar games against the Wellington Phoenix on 26 January and Melbourne Heart on 29 January will be played at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast."

I'm going to the Melbourne Heart game at Skilled Park... is anyone else going along? it might be almost 2hrs train ride for me, but it's going to be worth it. the only shame is that Brisbane Roar might be crowned Champions at Skilled Park, and not our Beloved Suncorp... but i am not going to miss this for the World, we deserve it all. and then i'll be at Suncorp on the 12th. Go the Roar.

busy weekend that one, the Roar down the goldcoast, Saints beating Man U at 3:15am and then England v Aussie on the 5th one day at the Gabba on the Sunday 30th, 3 wins outta 3????

hope everyone is safe from the King Tide on Bayside? heard it was a bit messy. Be Safe everyone

Is the Pig n Whistle going to be open at that time in the morning? and didnt it get flooded last week?
