Doctoroncall Posted 12 August, 2010 Share Posted 12 August, 2010 Well that's him gone from the game as he's a liability. I hope the players don't respond in the same way as that would f@ck up my fantasy football team.

stevegrant Posted 12 August, 2010 Share Posted 12 August, 2010 He's retiring from management. He always came across to me as the sort of bloke who absolutely hated his job, but just kept doing it because he knew he was pretty good at it.

Trader Posted 12 August, 2010 Share Posted 12 August, 2010 He's retiring from management. He always came across to me as the sort of bloke who absolutely hated his job, but just kept doing it because he knew he would never get another job on such good money. There, I've amended it for you.
Matthew Le God Posted 12 August, 2010 Share Posted 12 August, 2010 Time for Michael Sheen to play Steve Coppell in "The Damned Manchester/Bristol City"?
Matthew Le God Posted 12 August, 2010 Share Posted 12 August, 2010 (edited) Retiring from management, but how about a DOF role? Les Reed is pretty much Saints Director of Football, just with a slightly different job title. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2025768,00.html He was appointed in April, so I can't see him going and Coppell replacing him. Reed also has far more experience in this kind of role having done similar for the FA at a national level.
