Oops soory am late on parade it was incredibly humid here tonight with the temp in the high 30's when I played the weekly Par 3 medal and it took me a while to rehydrate with a decent Sauvignon Blanc while watching a low budget but entertaining move Serbian Scars

I guess nothing new then one and a midget up front again.......

Doesn't work peeps

Whereas if we are taken to pieces by MK Dons we'll know we've gone backwards from last season as they're a team we walked around on four different occasions.

Of our first three games, the one that gave me the willies was MKD - just because we've beaten them every time.

If we lose in the league (Plymouth), win in the cup (Bournemouth) and then lose in the league (MKD), after what happened last year, Cortese might well go completely and utterly ballistic.

even if Saints win 4-0 the same people will just pick up and moan about the first half display

Are we s'pose to be happy about having 70% of possesion on Saturday and having ONE real shot on target (that came from 25 yards out) and 45 minutes against Bournemouth (at home) and being well and truly on the back foot?

If I should be happy, im afraid i am most certainly not.

Tantric Football would be no good at all .... nothing to be won going 90 mins without scoring!!

when running good marathons you have to be roughly even paced from start to finish, otherwise you explode, if you start on 6 minute miles for the first 13 you certainly aren't going to run the last 13 at 4 minutes to give you an average of 5 minutes mileing.

just out of interest why should we beating them? They're in the same division as us on merit, on a roll with a good manager in a game that means far, far more to them than us. Not to mention that they have a superb away following behind them too, and a point to prove against the bigger south coast side.

We should beat them because our players are (a) worth vastly more than their players (b) paid vastly more than their players and © we are at home.

Not much chance of that happening.

Exactly spot on. There is no such thing as a 'Season'. There is only 90 minutes per game and you don't get those 90 minutes back. Each game must be won. There is no point believing that the lads will get going eventually because it is a 'marathon'. We MUST win games. End of story.

when did i mention the other game? if we win tonight then we win..game of two halfs. dont care if we look **** and win, as you say better than looking good (for 70mins) and losing.

I'm stuck at work tonight, my butt is melting to the seat, and after reading this thread, I find we're involved in a dire 0-0 battle vs Bournemouth. Groovy. New signings are imperative, it's all very well signing three (good IMO) defensive signings, without signing anyone offensively.

20 days of August is too long to wait, we need someone NOW!!! (Now I've said that, we'll score and I'll look like a mug. Well, more so than I already do...)

There, that's my pointless two cents, back to work. :-(

last post for free - boooo - so can't come back after this, but my point you might have chosen to ignore (?) was that regardless of the players they have far more incentive to win for all those reasons, MK Dons is the test of where we're at this season and come the league games against bournemouth i expect us to be a very different side.

Oh and as for the money thing is that why we always lost to sides that paid their players more in the prem?
