Dimond Geezer Posted 20 February, 2012 Share Posted 20 February, 2012 The Eclipse in Winchester is supposedly haunted by a grey lady. It's a long time since I've been there, but I recall a painting on the wall of the said grey lady.
Dog Posted 19 March, 2012 Author Share Posted 19 March, 2012 Stopped in the Old Ferryboat Inn in Holywell near Cambridge saturday night, the place was mental, spoons & glasses flying around the room all night.
buctootim Posted 19 March, 2012 Share Posted 19 March, 2012 I would love to beleive in ghosts but it is clearly ********. I would happily sleep for the night in Auschwitz on Halloween. I would be more worried about my gas bill. The Germans paid for that themselves. Anyway its closed now.
AussieDog Posted 19 March, 2012 Share Posted 19 March, 2012 Although not a pub, I worked at a hotel near Croydon called Selsdon Park. It has a wing to it that was built in Tudor times, it remains pretty much original and is said to be haunted by 'The Grey Lady'. Although I never did get to meet her, I can honestly say it was a sheeeeite scary place with all sorts of weird and wonderful stories coming from that part of the building. I hope you enjoy your visit, and hope you have a story or two to tell on your return... But do keep your goings on in the bogs to yourself please! Must of been her who nicked my watch and wedding ring when I was there years ago for a game of golf. Got me a free weekends accommodation though!
