What have you heard ??

TBF, if he has a sh*t start (i.e not winning the first 5) i think we should get a new man in.

Pards isn't the be all and end all, tactically i don't think he is all that, plus he has a habit of walking away from teams which will probably happen even if we are doing well.

But if he is winning and winning well then i don't think NC will move.

It is as necessary as most of your inane drivel. Deal with it.

Why is it inane ?

If O'Neill wants a quick return to football, is interested in the challenge, and NC has grave doubts about AP, why shouldnt we go for it ?

So do I but after what I've learnt over the last couple of days, from sources I trust, I'm not sure he has a future at SFC.

the lack of new faces are frighteningly obvious to me that AP has little future here. It is not what i want but my investment is not at stake.

It is your comments in general that bore the tits off me.

walking away from the ground I could see AP get the sack within 8 days.

Lose at home to Plymouth

Out of cup to Bournemouth

Lose away next Sat

= sack

That would be a shocking start but surely premature?

totally premature, but it's not what we want as a fan base - it's what our chairman will do.

Stick with him - but clearly if we lose the next 20 games no-one would think he should still be here! Quite easy to have both, circumstances change.
But your not having both because you're NOT saying stick with him regardless, you are saying replace him if results go badly. Its only a question of how many bad results there have to be. He'd almost certainly be gone if there were even 10 defeats in a row, let alone your 20, but what is more interesting is how few defeats, (or failures to win) do there have to be before even Pardew loyalists start calling for him to go. Something less than 10 I would think, which could mean that you're not so far away from Alpine as your debates with him might suggest.

What makes AP a bit more vulnerable is that he hasn't delivered as much on team building in the close season as many fans were expecting, so there is a lot riding on results. On the other hand, as I've said before, a win tonight and another win on Saturday and the picture will look very different, but it will also look different if there are two more defeats.

I am expecting a win tonight, even though Pardew has talked the tie down somewhat, and I'm sorry that I can't get there to see it. COYS.

I win.;)

To take pleasure in the clubs misfortune, so soon after AP has been sacked and ML has passed away shows you to be a man with no shame or honour. Barely a man at all in fact.

Sacking Pardew isn't misfortune, it's for the best.

Ok then Dune, who is our next manager going to be? Lets just make sure you're not a one trick pony

Hopefully matin O'neil, but probably not.

So are you going with O'neill or not?

Not, but assessing that Pardew was going to be sacked was easy and those that didn't forsee this were pretty thick.

Has NC sacked AP on a whim or was calculated? If it is calculated does NC believe by sacking AP now he has a better chance of getting his targetted manager ie MON before somebody else moves for him? What do we have to offer MON? Wecan obviously afford MON. Whoever NC brings in will have to be a much bigger name than anyone mentioned on this forum apart from MON to keep the fans happy.

Might I suggest that getting AP's demise is not something to particularly gloat about. Managerial instability at most football clubs has largely resulted in one thing - failure to achieve any form of sustained core success. We shall see what this brings for Saints, however I am extremely disappointed that NC has not been able to maintain managerial stability and therefore there is a big question mark over FUTURE stability also.

Why not? We've got the money to get him, its a case of if he'd be prepared to bring a club up again (like Leicester).

Is there anything less attractive in a human being than arrogance and ignorance combined? Shame on you, sir.

Because he's not a complete fool and could have his pick of most Premier League clubs and is probably favourite to be the next England manager.

Why would he choose to go to a 3rd tier club with a hair trigger chairman?

Leicester weren't in L1 with a nutjob chairman. Those two things came after MON had departed the club, funnily enough.
