Arizona Posted 9 August, 2010 Share Posted 9 August, 2010 On the one hand, I'd love a big turn out and a cracking atmosphere. On the other, it would be funny if Bournemouth cam along all excited about their local derby and we just couldn't give a f**k and nobody turned up. ericb Posted 9 August, 2010 Share Posted 9 August, 2010 Really want AP to put out a strong side, as I now live in Bournemouth, literally 5 mins on foot from their ground , we really really need to beat them just to shut them up for a bit at least. Can't stand the thought of losing, just can't !!!!!!!! See i work in bournemouth with a bunch of cherries - good blokes and good fans i think - and i couldn't give a ****, and the fact that i couldn't give a **** annoys the hell out of them. They keep saying "we'll see about that" when i say there's no rivalry, though i think at last it's starting to sink in. For what it's worth i think it'd be sad for them not to have a decent crowd, they could do with the money and it's some sort of cup final for them, but let's not put out a decent team since players have to be kept for the league. You must be near me. Boscombe is a terrible place. it's really not that bad compared to say shirley or thornhill; urban reef is nice and there's a cool little second hand record shop off the precinct. In all fairness as cities go - and apart from the stag/hen parties - bournemouth is a much nicer city than southampton.
OWTS Posted 9 August, 2010 Share Posted 9 August, 2010 Agreed. After living both, Bournemouth is a far nicer area. Soton is a ****hole really.
david in sweden Posted 9 August, 2010 Share Posted 9 August, 2010 I think we should go all out to win every game we play. I think we'd all go along with that, but every time we put out a lightweight forward line against a set of 6' 6" automotons, and a 10 man defence ... it doesn't matter how much " pretty football " we play ..we still need someone to put themselves about a bit and knock the ball into the net ..and a CCTV system to prove it has crossed the line ! Saints Warrior Posted 9 August, 2010 Share Posted 9 August, 2010 Put the same team in to prove themselves. Will have to play Bournemoth in leaque anyway so should treat the game as a must win. Need some goals to give confidence. Both teams dont have good defence or midfield so expect goals. 16K, bit steep £16 for such an early cup game. Skates is the rivalry and Bourenmouth are not liked after all the cr*p towards Saints fans when we played in thier game to raise money so I hope we hammer them and they get relegated. broncoboy Posted 10 August, 2010 Share Posted 10 August, 2010 Who cares about Bournemouth Our players will hopefully feel a level of embarassment from Saturday If it goe s TU then AP will have to crack the whip or NC will be lining up a few prospects for October
