Saint Martini Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Muffin wrong with that! Great win although we did score the goal at exactely the right time.
trousers Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Whooo hoooo....let's all get excited like we did the last time we won two games on the trot!
Northant Saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 yes get in there, everyone get down to coventry on sat I will be there definately!
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Whooo hoooo....let's all get excited like we did the last time we won two games on the trot! Exactly, why not. Muffin's away!!
RoswellSaint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Sounds like a great, confident performance. Lets carry it on at Coventry.
Saint_clark Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Muffins for everyone! Ridiculous that the first home game I miss this season is our first home win. F*cking stupid tooth infection.
Ponty Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Well, that makes our league stats look a whole lot healthier. Perhaps we're not doomed after all
Crab Lungs Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 People panicking... Saints still hadn't won a home game... 8 first team players out... ...and we win :-) Superb, superb. Well done boys, well done! "teenage kicks..."
MattressTester Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Yippeeeee! Good result, and sounded like a good and confident performance. Well done, boys.
suewhistle Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Whooo hoooo....let's all get excited like we did the last time we won two games on the trot! I think you must have a better memory than me.... Still, the scrappy win at Donny seems to have helped their confidence. I do think the kids are slowly getting better....
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Nice one Saints!! Noticed that Plymouth dropped from 8th to 13th after a late equaliser, if they'd conceded another they would have been below us, this division is still wide open, well the play off spots anyway.
badgerx16 Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Once again Lord Lowe's decision to kick out the boot boy and bring in the golden duo is justified with another example of flowing total football. There, now that's spoilt Scabby's evening
Bakovnetski Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 I'll stick with the sticky doughnuts. Well done lads. Job done.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 I don't mind going into work after a win, I might even wear my Saints tie if they're lucky.
Roman Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Someone's probably had the poor taste to mention Lallana's muffin diving for the penalty, so I won't bother.

alpine_saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 - Massive win - Massive shot-in-the-arm for the kids - Great run developing - Hopefully few more bums-on-seats for next home game BUT - JP needs to make sure the kids dont get c.ocky in the run up to the next game - Our subs bench is looking woefully threadbare (assuming Skacel is never going to play due to appearance fees). Either we pray that Schneiderlin, Wotton and John recover quickly, or its time for a couple of midfield or defensive loans.
DT Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Good result. Unbeaten in four and a clean sheet. Happy again...

doggface Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 get in! a big win. 4 unbeaten in the league and 2 wins on the trot. Great for the confidence which is the biggest thing I feel, we need to kick on now and breed a winning mentality.
pele Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Nearly Alpine nearly...................an optimistic comment!
.comsaint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 'ave it! Two 2-0 wins in three days & two clean sheets to boot. Onwards & upwards Jan the man!
Weston Super Saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 3 points off Play-Offs. FACT. Talk about walking this league FFS
saint lard Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Great result and seems to have been a good overall performance. Well done the nippers...and the couple of older heads too.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Great result. Good for the team confidence..and my nerves. Great to hear that Kelvin is really on form as well. Supercat!
trousers Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 So fellow conspiracy theorists.....why didn't Skacel get a few minutes at the end? (I assume he didn't get on)

alpine_saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 I really wonder if Killer should be allowed to walk back into the team when fit again. I didnt listen to the game, but the significant reduction in grimaces about the defensive performance on here suggest to me that maybe some understanding is forming.
Under Weststand Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Overall sounded a good performance & big credit to Kelvin Davis again some important saves at the right time. Well done JP & the boys. Up to 15th now
trousers Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Given Reading will walk this league (as they did last time), just the one auto promotion place to play for. COYR!
paris Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 The teenage Kicks played at the end must of been quite something who's idea was that the DJ guy or the team? So good win Jan now has a lovely team selection problem for the next game..
saint lard Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Gosport Borough win 5-0 away tonight too...life is just grand
trousers Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Did the commentary say that Norwich were poor or did we outplay a decent team?
RoswellSaint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Muffins for everyone! Ridiculous that the first home game I miss this season is our first home win. F*cking stupid tooth infection. Would you mind missing a few more games?

By the sounds of it, keeping Cork seems more of a priority at the moment!
krissyboy31 Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 (edited) Up to 15th now Ed Chamberline found it hard to hide his excitement, when he announced that on SSN. Edited 30 September, 2008 by krissyboy31

Lancs should be played as much as possible but having Killer as a candidate when fit is ok by me. Credit to James and Mills tonight as well.
alpine_saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Lancs should be played as much as possible but having Killer as a candidate when fit is ok by me. I agree, but I dont think it should be an automatic thing.
wild-saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 4 consecutive ccc league clean sheets, what defensive problem?
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 Jimmy Case did just make a good point: When it comes to the good ol British winter, will our total football work?
