Thedelldays Posted 7 August, 2010 Share Posted 7 August, 2010 I'm sure many a Boro fan would wish him back here too. eh/???
Badger Posted 7 August, 2010 Share Posted 7 August, 2010 (edited) eh/??? I was commenting on two posters "missing" WGS. Listening to the radio on the way home and the point was made that he has not really won Boro fans over, and many remain sceptical about his ability to turn the club round. I'm not suggesting he is on the way back, nor am I canvassing for AP to be replaced, before this gets out of hand. And on topic, I think AP interviews reasonably well, although like all managers does often lapse into 'managerspeak' to provide a smokescreen to a question. Mr Saints Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 Middlesborough lost today....they are favourites to win the championship................ I know, I am fully behind Pards and I believe he will take us up. Still miss Stachan's interviews though.
ooh it's a corner Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 Puncheon's first half free kick was going in, albeit very gently...
sadoldgit Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 Does he? He talked about a back-up striker for Lambert as he didn't see enough from Barnard and Connolly against Gillingham. Where is that back-up striker for Lambert? Joe Garner was available for a loan move from Nottm Forest, as far as I know we never even tried to sign him and just let Huddersfield take him. I've been saying this since last season - I don't think Pardew is the manager the majority think on here, he doesn't cope with pressure well - as shown at Chartlon and West Ham. He has spent a massive amount here, but today showed we're nothing more than a one man team. Thats a bit harsh. Lambert scored all of those goals last seaosn due to teamplay. Pardew aalso got us some silverware and would have made the play offs last season but for the minus 10 points - you can't tell me he was not under pressure last season. As for Strachan, could well be an early casualty in the sack race if things don't pick up.

Spudders Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 I liked the bit where he said he had a yoghurt in his fridge that was going out of date. Ahhh Deppo, your posts are a very consistent source for making me laugh.
LostBoys Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 no..we did not really did we... I meant of course crosses that went just over peoples heads and misplaced final balls. On another day we will connect and score. I agree in terms of working the goalkeeper we did not do well - a couple of freekicks straight at him
benjii Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 I love the way people say, "same problems as last year", as though we actually had serious problems. That'll be last year when for the final three quarters of it we had top two form. That's not to say yesterday was amazing but let's not pretend there are serious inherent problems when there clearly are not.

sadoldgit Posted 8 August, 2010 Share Posted 8 August, 2010 I am sure that the tactics change (or are supposed to change) many times in a game. How do we know there isn't a plan B? Perhaps there are plans down to R but they are just too subtle for us to notice any change?

I would like to think that Plan B would be somewhat ruddy noticeable.
Danbert Posted 9 August, 2010 Share Posted 9 August, 2010 When you don't win a match failing to score can be one of the factors. Devastating analysis there - is that why you call yourself Professor?
