So, the season kicks off with Norwich vs Watford. Andy Surman making his debut for Norwich tonight, could be a good season for him as Norwich look a good side and have made some very astute signings. Can't wait until tomorrow now!

Wow. 25 minutes in and Norwich are 2-0 down. Wouldn't have predicted that!

Danny Graham looks very useful up front, and Watford's RM (Don Cowie) is a quality player, he'll come into the game later.

I've been very impressed with Watford. For a young squad, they are extremely talented and knocking the ball around really well. Surman hasn't really been in it and Simeon Jackson doesn't seem as fast as many made him out to be.

£1M for Surman has to be the best business Saints have ever done!

He's absolutely awful

I just can't believe how bad he's got! He must've really lost his way at Wolves because he is just running round trying to look useful. Well Done Saints, great move!

Norwich have been absolutely shocking, reckon Lambo will give them a real bollocking at HT and bring Grant Holt on, but can't see them getting back into it tbh. May be a bit of a fluke where Watford are concerned, because they really don't have any strength in depth and are relying a lot on young players like we did when we went down. However, Malky Mackay is a good man manager and motivator, so if he can put a little bit of magic into those youngsters, they could become a force.

Norwich will come good though, the quality in their squad will come through later in the season.

he's not really getting the help around him though.

Elliott ward has also looked particularly dodgy, someone we pretty much had signed.

I know I only managed the Away team, but surely, if I can see that Jackson as a 4 feet nothing midget is playing on his own up front then you don't lob the ball up in the air to him.

Norwich fans must be shocked, they were awful 1st half and the defending for the goals was almost comical.

That said the first 15 or so minutes was played at a hell of a pace, made a lovely change to watch real football again after that WC garbage

A terrible first game didn't ruin their season last year and I'm sure the doom-mongers on their very own forum will be reminded of that plenty of times tonight.

Norwich will be fine. They've got goals galore in them.

Dodgy at the back, but they did have 6 news players in there tonight. Watford looked impressive.

They've already made an infinte improvement on last season anyway :)
