Which continues to be a bit weird as their allocation isn't going to be more than 3200.

There's no segregation towards the middle of Itchen Block 1/2 so they can only be in the conventional away area, and I'm pretty sure Saints fans are in Block 41 too.

They've got the usual full cup allocation of 4k+, which takes over block 42 from saints fans.

We do but Bournemouth have block 42. They have the same amount of the Northam stand as Pompey did.

Yes, I thought that was the 3200 ?

EDIT : But it isn't, cos I just checked...

Ok, my question now then, is if Man U had 4500 (warning, large Dan Kerins pic here : http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3996089.Man_Utd_game_sold_out/ )

how come Bournemouth are only claiming "around 4000" ?

Do we have the wider segregation barriers planned for Block 41 ? For Man U and Skates it was only the thin barrier.

Nope, Skates had 4,000.

The usual allocation for the league games is 3,200(although some fixtures last year suggest that we've cup away allocations down to 2,400).

This will usually see the away fans located in blocks 43, 44, 45, 46, 47 and 48.

Someone persuade me to go tonight. I really cannot be bothered...

As I haven't paid off my season ticket yet I can't justify spending eighteen quid for an extra game with Bournemouth.

Doesn't appear to be on Solent, sadly as I've been missing a bit of Merrington...

Bournemouth fans are going to try a bit of violence I've heard. Should be funny watching them walk toward us with their zimoframes.

Will be the yoof on both sides school holidays and all

can't beleive the amount of people on here saying they can't be bothered. Been waiting 3 months for season to start and then people can't be assed on our second game of season. We need a win tonight and i think it will happen. 3 1

If we don't win tonight it should be very concerning to the team.... we then have a tough game away on Saturday... Think what a mess we could be in if we lose our first 3 games of the season.... =)

Of course...if we win tonight i'll be very confident for the more important game on Saturday...but should we lose...we'll be on a streak so to speak..and MK owe us for a couple last season and i imagine our heads might already be down from the previous 2 ga,mes...so fingers crossed for a decent game, victory and crowd tonight...

AFC Bournemouth were promoted on 24th April 2010.

Saints played Carlise United at St Mary's on the 24th April 2010.

When the PA system announced after the Carlisle game that Bournemouth had gone up, pretty much the whole of St Mary's cheered and gave a round of applause. Halftime and fulltime results for Bournemouth are also greeted well when read out at St Mary's. You don't see that for any other "derbies".

Where as Bournemouth fans did this...

To all you uber fans who are slagging off those of us who are not going,or just cant get excited about an overpriced first round Carling cup game. How many of you will be at St Marys to watch Saints v D+Redbridge on a cold Tuesday night?

Got to say i was think of going but finding out it's £18 on the gate tonight has totally put me off, not worth it for a nothing game in a cup i'd rather not be in. I'll save the cash for some away days instead i think

Errr anyone with a season ticket I guess. Which is a few.....................

Bournemouth are my second team, so no rivalry at all in my view. However, I do see it as a very important game. If we lose it'd be terrible for morale of both the players and fans.

I really don't get this 'second team' thing

They're not my second team but i still like to see them do well, partly because they are southern and partly because they were screwed by the league

I bought my ticket a few weeks ago but as I am full of cold (bloody wife gave it to me) I am not going tonight don't want to cough and splutter over my mates and the people that sit close to me.

Davis. Butterfield, Fonte, Seaborne, Dickson. Wotton, Hammond©, Puncheon. Chamberlain, Barnard, Lallana

IMHO Lambert would not get in that team.....

[tin hat job]

dropped,injured or gone ??

Who knows. Suppose he may be being rested, guess Connolly isn't fit enough to play 2 games a week. Good to see Rickie back though, at least we have a striker on the bench.

And Pilchards- think you'll need more than a tin hat.

Subs: Bialkowski, Harding, A. Martin, Mills, Holmes, Lambert, Garrod.

No Morgan or Connolly.

We are so f**ked this season without transfers.

Sh*t, wottons playing.

I like the fact he has realised that LB and DC can't work together,

Doubt that, more likely not able to risk DC 3 times in 8 days. DC was by far the better of the two on Saturday (and just about every other time IMHO). Not convinced by LB at all I'm afraid, whereas DC is class. So where has this lad Garrod suddenly appeared from, thought Doble was #4 striker. Presumably Spiderman and Jaidi are nursing knocks. Hope that Punch can do better tonight, he was appalling on Saturday so wouln't be too difficult.

Weird how football works.

From what i saw of Punch last weekend i was impressed, he looked good to me, but both strikers were diabolical, with DC's experience he should have found the space to exploit, but he didn't. Far too often did Puncheon make space for himself and find nothing to play the ball to.

For me LB is pretty carp on his own but with RL he looks pretty good, he works bloody hard and has an eye for goal.
