Pipe smoking

I guess one for the older generation!!

 

Has anyone on here smoked a pipe? I used to love the smell of the smoke from my granddads pipe when he was alive. Think it was cherry/Vanilla?

 

A bit of an art isn't it, getting them to stay alight and all that. I'd like to see pipe smoking become fashionable again.

My Dad smoked a pipe on and off for many years, he had a whole rack of different ones that he would use depending on the occasion.

Ive always wanted to smoke one, but have never been sure how to avoid the 'looking like a old git' issue. Still only a few more years to go now.

Maybe you could make it look cool for younger folk! I do kind of think at the moment anyone under the age of 50 smokng a pipe would look a bit odd.

My dad used to smoke a pipe and I loved the smell of the new tobacco and the pipe smoke. He used to save his baccy tins and put pennies in them for my children when we visited.

 

My mum always used to say dad's clothes were all Aertex because of the holes caused by little bits of hot tobacco.

The Dell used to smell of pipe tobacco.

Sat downwind from a couple of pipe-smoking, comfortable-shoe wearing women once....could have smelt worse....
