But..but...but....

He's black ?

'Free South Africa, you dumb ****'

Love that film......no way anywhere near football related. For which I apologise.

Best line's at the end

Riggs: Hey, hey. Did you get them? The bad guys? Are they all gone?

Murtaugh: Yeah. Hey, hey. They've been... de-kaffir-nated

what happened..?

SCENE - Int. Seedy Bar, Night

Minty, his face in silhouette, sits alone in the corner of an empty bar, with only a cigarette and a double scotch for company.

[Enter Thedelldays]

TDD: Minty, what happened when you posted corner tactics on Saintslist?

[Minty grimaces, takes a drag on his cigarette and leans forwards]

M: That was a long time ago, kid. You don't wanna go dragging up the past. Ya might get hurt.

TDD: Oh, please tell me. I'll tell you the story about the time I dressed up as a woman on a submarine!

[Minty eyeballs the young sailor, downs his scotch and reclines in his chair]

M: Okay, i'll tells ya...

lol!

Anyway, I observed a corner routine at an open training session, many years ago, and posted it on Saintslist.

As I remember, Ripley was taking the corner on the right and went to pass it short to someone, who dummied it, for Dodd to whip it in from around the apex of the 18-yard box. I think Hoddle was in charge. The players agreed that they woudl do it for the second corner from that side of the pitch in the game.

It got back to the club that this info had been posted on a public forum and the club then banned fans from Staplewood completely! I got a bit of grief from fellow fans, but most people saying 'it's an overreaction... if clubs really wanted to spy on us, they could've sent their own person in to watch what was, after all an open training session'. It was in the Pink and Graham Hiley who still worked there at the time, even wrote an article saying that 'one fan, who just wanted to look popular on an internet mailing list, has ruined it for everyone else'!!! I had to chuckle at that. The internet is serious f'ing business after all.

Anyway, maybe with hindsight it was silly, but i never really thought it was that big a deal. Someone obviously did.

Nope they still did it, Ripley scuffed it out of touch for a throwin :-)

I have just remembered a free kick they practiced on Thursday!

If it's from 35 yards Lambert will put it in the top corner!

end of.......

Did Lambert look 50/50 for saturday as his interview today suggests? Or just mind games...

That was quite awhile ago now, and on Saintslist! And it was a bit more than just 'some grief'!!!

Happy days Minty, I used to love the reoprts from training. Just as well Nicola wasn't in charge then or he probably would have had you locked up!!!
