saint_stevo Posted 30 September, 2008 Posted 30 September, 2008 im infected, scans with SuperAnti Spyware and malware bytes did not work. it is even taking over my keyboard. HELP Removal instructions?
saint_stevo Posted 30 September, 2008 Author Posted 30 September, 2008 a right pain this one, has now de-activated my mouse and keybaord! it seems malware bytes should fix it, but im now struggling because i cannot use the mouse or keyboard!
saint_stevo Posted 1 October, 2008 Author Posted 1 October, 2008 glad i didnt have to rely on you buggers. whipped the HDD out, plugged it to my laptop SATA>USB and attacked the vile-ness from there. Sorted
thesaint sfc Posted 1 October, 2008 Posted 1 October, 2008 Well as someone who works in the IT industry I'd have thought it would be fairly obvious you needed to scan it as a slave drive. I don't know. You don't use ghost and you can't remove viruses.
saint_stevo Posted 1 October, 2008 Author Posted 1 October, 2008 Virus is removed EXCUSE me! And im not exactly gonna go out and buy ghost for my company and implement it off my own back am i! I was in my hour of need and couldnt be bothered to go and buy a SATA>USB as i only had a IDE>USB unless i really had to. And coming from a man who cant stop his pc intermittently shutting down......
Johnny Shearer Posted 1 October, 2008 Posted 1 October, 2008 How did you get it? Let us know, so I know what to look out for. Especially after the pain I went through getting rid of Antivius 2008 XP. Cheers.
saint_stevo Posted 1 October, 2008 Author Posted 1 October, 2008 twas a torrent download, asking for it really. It seems to be just as rampant as that XP Antivirus 2008, seems to be a fair bit bout it on the innerweb

As I had enough trouble with Antivirus 2008. Touch wood I dont go through that again!

saint_stevo Posted 1 October, 2008 Author Posted 1 October, 2008 oh goody its back.............. seems to be less violent i.e keyboard and mouse still intact so i can tackle it without HDD removal but its defo back. F*cker System Restore being turned off now, touch hopeful perhaps
thesaint sfc Posted 2 October, 2008 Posted 2 October, 2008 oh goody its back.............. seems to be less violent i.e keyboard and mouse still intact so i can tackle it without HDD removal but its defo back. F*cker System Restore being turned off now, touch hopeful perhaps Tried running some scans in safe mode? Sometimes I find installing AVG, then running a scan with superantispyware works. As Superantispyware accesses the files, AVG detects them as being harmful and deals with them. System Restore has worked for me in the past so good luck.
saint_stevo Posted 2 October, 2008 Author Posted 2 October, 2008 Looking ok now, shame i got some dll errors instead now!
SPIKE Posted 3 October, 2008 Posted 3 October, 2008 All you need is disc rescue it scans your pc and cleans everything, I got my disc from pc world for £5 and it found lots of spyware.
