sadoldgit Posted 3 August, 2010 Share Posted 3 August, 2010 TBF I think Lowe would have won more friends if he had taken on the Premier League rather than massage his ego by getting himself cosily on the board. The FL chairmen were a flock of frightened sheep, voting in favour of the extended parachute payments, Cortese told them so and I fully support his stance on that. Whether or not, the original post is accurate I haven't a clue and to be honest, couldn't give a toss! I have no idea how Lowe operated on the board but it is usually easier to change things from within rather than p*ss everyone off and be on the outside. If Cortese wants to exercise some influence he might want to become a part of the old boys club first.

I think you're spot on with this comment, as this is how I feel he regards supporters given the removal without notice of the installment plan and extortionate booking fee. Viking Warrior Posted 3 August, 2010 Share Posted 3 August, 2010 I retract my earlier comment . It was not Alpine who reported me (Its possible) I had a go at someone called Mr X . He was abusing Scooby so I gave him some grief and for my sins got a 2 point infraction

dune Posted 3 August, 2010 Share Posted 3 August, 2010 ffs... At the end of the day you hardly go to any games so it's easy for you to not give a **** about things like this. This isn't a dig so don't play the victim card, it's a fact.

You live in Leicster Dune, please don't go preaching to Alpine on not living in the area and seeing games etc. The fact is you are worse than SRS and just post inflammatory bullsh*t just to get a reaction (which you have got) You really are a bit of a bore TBH What with your personal vendetta, your racist history and all that saviour of the forum sh*te you come out with every now and again that the hospital gets your dose a little over the top. View From The Top Posted 3 August, 2010 Share Posted 3 August, 2010 You misunderstand, the information on the letter was incomplete in June, I used the word sanitized. Since then (at end of July to be precise. last week) a full copy has been available to all the other member clubs. Who are these magical signings anyhow, do you mean all the players who were out of contract with their clubs? Have we actually bought someone from a club that had a current contract in this window ? Oh noes. Them nasty other clubs won't sell us any players as our chairman, in make believe world, said something horrid. Dooooomed I tell thee. We're dooooomed. dune Posted 3 August, 2010 Share Posted 3 August, 2010 I go to shed loads of games and i'm not having a pop at Alpine who can't due to the logistics. I'm making the point that he doesn't go to many games and therefore it's easy for people like him not to care about things like the ticket tax. Who are these magical signings anyhow, do you mean all the players who were out of contract with their clubs? Have we actually bought someone from a club that had a current contract in this window ? Please could you post a copy so that we can all read it. Your insider trading buddies must be able to get their grubby little hands on one. Have you read it? If you have please transcribe it for us exactly as you recall. Or, could it be that a letter was shared, it expressed an opinion and in his absence, was circulated to discuss as it was paramount to the talks they were having? Or, could it be that the FL asked for a letter to be sent and they would discuss it as they all admire NC so? Maybe the FL wrote to NC? Do you have this letter? Maybe an email was sent, do you have this? Do you have private access to all the emails and all the private letters sent to NC and/or the FL? Are you a spy? Basically, you claim a letter was sent and then a representation of ALL 71 chairman + the FL has been expressed, wow, that's some sweeping sentiments, after all, you have no feelings on the matter. Look, this is dull and pointless, has NC done anything wrong, not in my opinion. But then I'm not representing 71 league Chairman, the Football League, ex players, coaching staff, 71 league managers, all of their ex players, coaches and fans. I am one voice, others on here presume to speak on behalf of hundreds of thousands, don't be one of 'those' people. tell you what, I didn;t like the way Lowe did things, so much so, I didn't go. Leading by example is the strongest message. Either go and support or don't and stay at home, free country, free choice.

Dark Munster Posted 3 August, 2010 Share Posted 3 August, 2010 Funny isn't it, if this was Lowe no one would question the validity of the thread, but because it is Cortese he gets backing. I don't know whether it is true or not, but given his track record it sounds about right. I also know from someone who works there that Cortese is not well liked at SFC and tends to rub people up the wrong way. It will be interesting to see if this is true. Maybe those at the club who don't like him should remind themselves that there probably wouldn't be a club if NC hadn't encouraged ML to buy it, and they wouldn't have a job (at the club at least) if it wasn't for NC. SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 4 August, 2010 Share Posted 4 August, 2010 FFS another NC bashing thread. Have we forgotten Markus is only here because of NC(will buy only if your chairman) and us partaking in negative comments about him might, and i said might make him quit. That would be a disaterous situation for saints as i could see Markus selling if that happens. I smell disgruntled ex owners/ employees still there from old owners sh-it stirring and we should be very careful with views posted on this site. Just my view!! It was Andy Oldknow who first approached Markus with a possible deal, only then did Nicola get involved. And do you really think Markus would leave if Nicola left?? do you really? quaintly naive IMO
Secret Site Agent Posted 4 August, 2010 Share Posted 4 August, 2010 Maybe those at the club who don't like him should remind themselves that there probably wouldn't be a club if NC hadn't encouraged ML to buy it, and they wouldn't have a job (at the club at least) if it wasn't for NC. Or perhaps leave? No one forces them to stay, apart from economic factors, but that doesn't stop them from looking elsewhere. Also we have employment laws in this country and tribunals. Take it to them. I've posted this before, but I would have loved to work on the SMS when it was being built. It would have been the pinnacle of my career. I had the oportunity but i personnally didn't like the set up at Barr at the time, wasn't sure of the Agent, and it wasn't for me, so I walked away, no matter how much I loved the club. Truth to tell, I don't really beliuve there are any disgruntled employees at the club because NC, i believe it's juust the usual moaning at managment that happens anywhere. My boss is taking away the sandwhiches we have at the monthly meeting and we can buy shirts and trousers any more on the company. My firm MUST be in uproar. Or are we just happy that we have a job, after so many have been laid off
Secret Site Agent Posted 4 August, 2010 Share Posted 4 August, 2010 Just as a quick update today, and I have posted this elsewhare: A quick search of the tabloids and local papers today still shows NOTHING. An exclusive story like this and it is so ground breaking THEY DON'T DEEM TO REPORT IT. Why on the football league own website, they choose not to report it as they are reporting more bigger hitting and biting stories that have more impact that Cortese’s attack on them, such as: Bradford boss Peter Taylor knows the importance of making a good start to the season Former Stockport Manager and Current Ipswich coach Gary Ablett has been diagnosed with cancer (I’ll concede this one and wish him well) Match officials have been appointed for the first week of the season Mascots gear up for Daffodil Derby All hard hitting stuff, you’ll agree. Lets be honest since NC came here he has turned the club on its head. There are no more ITK’ers as he is very adept at information control, so if any claims were true, you would never know and neither would I. There is also a little thing in Info Control called dis-information. Release a story about upsetting the football league and 71 other memebers without any foundation Release a story about AP being sacked within a couple of weeks without any foundation Release a story about Lallana being sold and leaving without any foundation Release a story about upsetting the football league and 71 other memebers without any foundation Release a story about something contentious that IS WITH foundation, and people wont believe it until it is too late. in one foul swoop you have removed all the power of the ITKers becase you have fed them sheet and they have passed it on and now have no credibility. Also feed different pieces of sheet to individual people in the club, and in one foul swoop you have identified who is to be trusted and who isn't by what becomes available in the public eye. These people are then, not sacked, but turned and used to feed non-true information to the outside world. SFC's own 20 Commitee. And I now have to shut up as my former employers will either have me killed or prosecuted to the full weight of the law.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 4 August, 2010 Share Posted 4 August, 2010 So here we have it in a nutshell. OP posts something with, seemingly, no basis in fact. OP has no evidence and therefore cannot prove anything. Non story, except for the usual suspects club bashing. Stop trolling or the forum will be a few members lighter very shortly.
