Although Howard never made a first-team appearance for Saints, it’s still a club he holds close to his heart. ...................But who is to say I’ll never play there again one day.”
SuperMikey Posted 30 July, 2010 Posted 30 July, 2010 He'd be a good signing, for sure. Whether Reading would let him go or not is another matter.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 July, 2010 Posted 30 July, 2010 He is exactly what we need at the heart of our midfield. Passion for the club and the City and a damned good creative midfielder who is at the peak of his game at 27. I would love it if we were to sign him, but it isn't going to happen IMO.
derry Posted 30 July, 2010 Posted 30 July, 2010 Brian is good mates with my son, he has just moved into new house at Bartley, he commutes daily to Reading and shares transport with Gregor Raziak. He signed a new three year contract last season and is on more than we pay. I think he has also been made captain of Reading. He is quite open that he has unfinished business at Saints but doesn't want to play in div one, I know for a fact that he/his agent have been spoken to, but for him the time/price is not yet right.

Interesting. I wonder when we overtake teams like Reading in desirability stakes for players? At a wild guess, I'd say we probably pay similar wages. We maybe need to show that we really are going to get out of League One (and we could show this long before May 2011 of course)

S-Clarke Posted 30 July, 2010 Posted 30 July, 2010 If, you mean nope, definitely when. With or without pardew and co.
