TY - I have just confirmed the same with my source. Lock this stupid thread.

Why is it a stupid thread?

Someone said he was going, so it was opened up for discussion. Now people have confirmed that more reliable sources say its not true so its served its purpose. This is a forum for rumours and discussion after all.

its killed a few minutes, I'll grant you that.

But you thought it were credible enough to start a thread about it.

Hull City have HUUUUUUUUUGE debts.

Plenty of clubs with huge debts still buy players, maybe they are gambling on getting back to the Prem to pay them off. They still need a team and buying players from League 1 would be cheaper than buying Prem/Championship players.

I'm not saying it's true, just saying it could be.

Those that know his sister, can you pass on this info to Adam.

Who are we signing?

How much is AP on?

Is Cortese really a hard bastard?

Will you play again?

What happened to Shergar?

Is Elvis really dead?

Why did England play crap at the world cup?

and finally Where is Lord Lucan hiding?

cheers!

He's a friend of mine, he chats **** alot, gambling addict, and he told me yesterday lallanas ex said he was staying.

He does know Emily though and Adam. His sister went out with him

When you read the following idiotic story, makes sense why AL should stay where he is for now.

"Tottenham's teenage midfielder John Bostock believes his progress is being damaged by foreign players in the English game. The 18-year-old, who was on loan at Brentford last season, wants another loan move as he has only made three substitute appearances for Spurs in two years".

Maybe he should have stayed at palace then the to$$er.

Adam goes no where

FACT

I'm off to bed and will sleep safe in the knowledge that he'll score more than 20 this season - FOR US - before anyone asks !!!

I don't believe this, purely because the source is the very recent ex, I don't know who the girl is, but I hope she has an occupation other than WAG

no, and they dont take your beloved 1971 mgb either as part of the "f*ck off then" agreement. And they dont sell it 6 weeks later without even bothering to give you first option on buying it back

that made me laugh.....sorry.

However Lallana is too good for L1 & how long has he left on his contract?

It would be interesting to see NC's selling skills. have we taken a fee for a player since NC became CEO? Is it safe to say we are no longer a selling club?

also, have we let a few players go that we could have got a fee for?

There has been no split in their relationship and are both very happy together ,as i said every part of this rumour is untrure.

I have it on good authority that Adam will not be playing on saturday as his knee is still a problem (Genuine knee problem)

he was at St Mary's yesterday for a photo call and is looking forward to playing again soon for saints

This came from him by the way

quite worried tbh, this injury isn't going away...

We had a problem with lack of wide attacking options before his injury. IMO it is now a crisis.

Why because Lallana is still injured? So we are in the same position as we were two days ago. What with our central midfield crisis too we might as well write the season off and forget it.

Mills, Dickson and Puncheon can all play wide left, not really a crisis IMO. Not great, I grant you. But I don't think we have got to crisis levels yet.

Don't think were too bad on the left anyway. If we were to bring in wide players they'd be predominately right sided anyway. With Dickson who was the best player on the pitch Saturday and Mills and Holmes too I think we've got players who can step in on the left. Even Puncheon can play out there. However to play him out there we need some serious strengthening on the right. Thats the crisis. Not the left side.

and Holmes, it is a crisis because we only have 4 players who can play in that position, we really need 8 just in case the other 7 are injured.

I agree, however AP has no problems playing left footed players on the right so Dickson, Mills, Holmes could cover there as well. Its not the disaster some seem to think. Yes we need to strengthen, but I am happy we can still put out a very strong side on saturday without any new players coming in.

If the injuries persist, I probably wouldn't want to wait till January to get cover in though.

Talk about having your cake and eating it. I keep being sermonised on here by the likes of you that there is no point in buying lots of low-grade players because they will never be as good at this level as the players they would cover for, then you try to dismiss the impact of Lallana's injury on the team by implying we have loads of cover and being sarcastic about it, despite the fact none of this cover is a good as Lallana.

Oh, the sheer hypocrisy of it...

For the love of god Alpine, we are not going to attract someone to sit on the bench in league one who is as good as Lallana.

You are probably right, but by the same measure I think the arguments that we dont need to find cover for Morgan because it will never be as good to be as equally ridiculous.

We do need cover for CM, no-one has ever denied that. This thread has nothing to do with that though.

Sorry mate, that is b*ll*cks. A few people has argued that we dont need to bother or it is very low priority because we will never get his quality to this League to warm the bench.

Hence I made a comment about why we need to look for a Morgan clone yesterday or the day before.

Well if you can find a post where someone has said we don't need CM cover then fair enough, but i've never seen one.

And if they have, they're a bloody idiot. Fair enough, Butterfield can play in midfield, but we still need at least one more.

Here we go.....

I am not saying he is not a good player, he is class at this level but do you really think it is going to be easy to pesuade a player of a similar ability to come here and not be guarenteed a start? He a CCC standard player at the moment, what CCC player would not only drop down a league but then also not be told they are even guarenteed to be one of th first names on the team sheet?

In the alternate deluded world of Alpine we MUST sign the very, very best players so our 2nd XI is at least as good as as our 1st XI.

Let's face it, it's not a problem finding players as good as MS and AL and getting them to sign for a division 3 club. Afterall, all of our promotion rivals have managed it.

Oh.

Thats not saying we dont need CM cover, thats saying we wont get anyone as good as Morgan as cover. Not the same thing. We need someone better than Wotton as cover, not better than Morgan. Otherwise they wouldn't be cover.

It the first one I could find, and I clearly got the impression that he felt the fuss I was making about the importance of back-up for Morgan was uneccesary.

Seems a good time to remind everyone that Morgan is struglling to be fit for Saturday..

And you cristise others for not reading your posts properly. Where is that saying we dont need it all? in fact on other threads i have said we do. The point was that and this goes for 'cover' for Lallana as well is that signing players as good or better than we have in these positions are likely going to have to come from the CCC, how easy is it going to be to persuade a player of the quality we need to not only drop down a league but also not be guarenteed a start? Rather than twisting posts to suit your agenda why dont you answer the question?

I agree with Saint_Clark though, I don't think anyone is questioning the need for CM cover. What people are saying is that it is difficult to get cover in of a suitable ability, when that player will know they are only going to be cover. If we want someone to actually fight for a starting place, we need to look at CCC quality players, and I think AP is finding it increasing difficult to sell the dream at the beginning of the season (maybe it will be easier in Jan, maybe it will be too late by then).

What I think it does highlight is the lack of good quality academy players coming through. Cover for injury/suspension used to be an opportunity for a youngster to stake a claim for a place. We don't seem to have that at the moment (although I think with the new academy set up in a few years we will be ok) and so seem to relying on bringing the players in from outside, which as I said above, i am wondering if that is proving a little tricky.

All IMO of course.

Mills was deemed good enough to play regularly for S****horpe in their promotion season from this league and Dickson showed on saturday he is more than capable at LM, this against CCC oposition, hardly 'low-grade players'

If he shared a house with some bird, it is easy to understand why he'd want to sell up if they've ended their relationship. No self-respecting new partner would want to move into some other bird's nest.

Let's be realistic, in the present depressed housing market it'll take ages to move his huse on anyway whatever it costs, so he won't be going anywhere soon - if it's sold by January he'll be lucky. If he does have itchy feet one would have thought that the end of year transfer window is when he is most likely to look at his options. If Saints are leading L1 by then and going like a tram he'll stay and see us through to the Championship. If all goes well after that why would he want to leave if there is a realistic prospect of leading us into the premiership withing two years?

Relax, stop worrying and look forward to the day when he is fully fit again and trots out once more at SMS.

If I'm wrong, Saints will only have themselves and AP to blame.

He can't answer it, he's not that bright.

Anyone who believes we are going to sign players as good as MS and AL as cover is 'kin deluded.

We all know we need a CM but a lala Alpine world the have to be the very, very best and it won't be an issue that they will have to drop down to division 3.

I had hoped we'd sign Danns and he'd play alongside Hammond/MS in a 5 man midfield but Alpine would then be mithering like a pre-menstrual tart that we hadn’t bought cover if one of those were injured.

The bloke is called Thrush for a reason who reads best on ignore.

I wish you would get real. Wotton came from a CCC club and that is going to be the type of player we can attract as cover for our first team. In almost everyone's opinion he is not good enough, but where are we going to find better to take his place on our bench? We are league one for goodness sake and you go on and on about finding someone equally as good as Morgan to sit on our bench and that is not going to happen. We may be able to find some youngster or some journeyman, but the likelyhood of them being better than Wotton is remote.

PS

It is quite significant in my view that none of the BIG clubs have come in for AL in the way they did for Bridge, Walcott & Bale who were much younger than Adam when they were plucked away. With new concerns over the dearth of young English talent in the PL after the fiasco of Cape Town, surely at least one of the top six clubs will have considered whether he could do the job at the highest level?

Although the jury may still be out it begins to look as 'though he hasn't quite got what it takes to be a top player by the judgement of Wenger, Ferguson and others who really know about world-class talented players. Let's face it Adam's had chances at U-21 level and not taken them.

For my part he is certainly talented but also extremely unreliable, he has had good games when he shines like a star in the firmament but all too often has stinkers when he can disappear for large parts of games.

He is however "one of ours" and that always gives me (and you - I hope) a very special buzz that you never quite get with imports from other cities. I loved Drew Surman for all his foibles and weaknesses and he loved us and it was a black day when he was sold to save our club and to no avail. Let's not lose Adam Lallana the same way otherwise we might begin to wonder why we trek up to SMS of a Saturday especially if your local serves better fries and cooler beer

Wow, now I have been accused of menatlities 180degress apart.

Apparently I expect/demand PL players comes to us of be made to come to us, whilst at the same time I've been accused of "quantity vs. quality" and wanting us to buy any old crap...

For someone you think is best ignored, you seem to know what I think/write very well and seem to hang on my every word...
