Absolutely no chance of it being either 'open for all' or anything other than cherry-picked questions even if they did invite an audience.

I would be AMAZED if it's anything more than a one on one interview with Cortese like it was a few months ago.

What makes you say that?

What makes you say that?

Because the club won't respond to emails / phone calls etc etc etc about issues, when they are questioned to a point they have to give a response they simply either tell a lie or refuse to discuss the issues.

For that reason it would be complete suicide for Cortese to have an open forum with a live microphone recording and no idea what the questions will be... he won't enjoy being put on the spot.

+1.

I don't think Solent would dress a one on one interview up as a fans forum. Was the interview a few months back called a fans forum?

Don't get me wrong, I would love it if the club did have an open fans forum as they have in previous years. I just don't think they will, as it would be a complete PR suicide mission if they did.

Its either a fans forum or it isnt. open house & open questions.

If it was anything else I doubt solent would put thier name to it. Im not saying of course that NC would want to control the questions but IMO it is unlikely he would get his way at this type of forum.

Haven't the club already said they aren't going to respond to every little issue/bit of speculation? Surley a fans forum would be a place to address all issues in one go.

It's a bit of a leap to say they won't do a fans forum because they don't return your calls.

I'm confused, haven't you been complaining about the lack of communication from the club? Now you're saying they shouldn't because it would be PR suicide?

Err.... I said I would LOVE it if they did, but I don't think they will.

Of course I want them to communicate with fans, but don't think they will as there is far too many awkward questions that could be addressed to Cortese.

Yep, sorry. Changed my post as misread yours, my bad.

There has never been a Fans Forum where all questions have been answered as persons would have liked.

Some people will just have a question about a question about a question and then still not be satisfied with the answer!

An answer does not always mean that you will be satisfied with what you are told.

The Fans ask the questions they want, the club gives the answers it wants.

Fans Forums before have been open, questions have not been pre-censored... people stick their hand in the air and ask a question.

I can't see that happening this time. Will be amusing if it does though.

I realise that. It is why I have been to every fans forum and have generally left more satisfied than before I went.

If they let this happen Stu, I'll be asking the questions we all want answering dont you worry. We shall see.

Here we go. Conspiracy theory territory again? Are you always on?????

I would really like you to go and table your questions, and I would like to see his answers. Please, tell us all that you are going to try and go. Please document you attempts. I will attempt to attend again. AND i'll table your questions for you, if you can't. But please, how about a break for the poor man, eh?

Just like to point out that Stu said a while ago that he predicted there wouldn't be a fans forum this year. He said it in one of his big "i'm not talking to you anymore" posts, where he predicted several things, and said he would come back to say "I told you so" at some point. Can't remember what the other predictions were.

I am speculating and predicting there won't be an open and uncensored fans forum.

Of course I will attempt to go if there is one, there won't be though, that's my prediction. Nothing more, nothing less. Feel free to quote this at the end of September if I am wrong.

If I were you, I wouldn't be getting too cócky about it just yet - there hasn't been a fans forum yet, after all...

Nor has Stu stopped talking to us, in spite of repeated promises to do so. In fact, he's got one hell of a post count for someone who, according to his own reckoning, doesn't bother with this site much any more... ;)

If there is an Open Forum I hope the fans will flood in to say how good it is to have the club run professionally after all we've suffered and that it's great to have the Club strengthened from the Academy to the top Three cheers for NC and staff

The Academy under Lowe was one of the best in the country/Europe. Infact 2 of the 5 most expensive British teenagers were from Lowes Academy.

Can we have 3 cheers for Lowe as well?

That is a major thing Rupert got wrong when designing the stadium. Always should have all the advantages for the home team, not give them the opportunity to outsing the home fans

I agree. Away fans should be in the kingsland from block 34 to 38 (sorry any ST holders there). Out of sight from the TV cameras and not right behind the goal. Then we'd have all of the northam and hopefully we'd start kicking that way in the second half

We help give home advantage every game by diluting our singing/boisterous end. Its like giving half of the Kop Stretford end to the away team.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it was a policing matter that necessitated the away fans being located where they are, and we had to agree to it to get permission or something like that....please correct me if I'm wrong

Yep I've heard similar to this too.

We then get told "how come this was never raised as an issue in 2014/15 and 2015/16?"

No you're right, it was something to do with a police issue which meant they couldn't be in the corner, either segregation or where they come out when they get outside the stadium.

If you think about it easy to close the North car park and funnel the away fans straight to their coach’s.

I just thought it strange the police cells were put just off the Northam end tunnel

Interesting comment from Semmens "sometimes we see a player isn't good enough physically to play in the system anymore so we choose not to renew"...would explain why Bertrand was held in a back three towards the end of last season and why Betrand made a strange comment about being allowed to play the way he wants to when he left.
