scott_saints Posted 25 August, 2010 Share Posted 25 August, 2010 Anyone know if there's any decent pubs a short walk from Temple Meads? Also, whats the away pub that's roughly a 5 min walk from the ground with a s**t load of pool tables?
oldsarum Posted 25 August, 2010 Share Posted 25 August, 2010 Loads of decent pubs near Temple Meads, including Knights Templar (wehterspoons) very close to station and many others within 5mins walk form there http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/10/10235/Knights_Templar/Bristol
tttdcs Posted 25 August, 2010 Share Posted 25 August, 2010 I have two spare tickets available for saturday if anybody wants them.
JRM Posted 25 August, 2010 Share Posted 25 August, 2010 any idea how many sold now? must admit I am quite surprised we have not sold out for this yet, relatively local away game only a couple of hours drive wouldn't cost much for a few lads to jump in a car up there, tickets not that expensive, bank holiday weekend..... RonManager Posted 25 August, 2010 Share Posted 25 August, 2010 Got my terrace ticket after the game yest and it says '438' on it. That was on the 22nd so there can't be many left as there were 800 available for the terrace, and they bacame available after the seated end sold out. RonManager Posted 25 August, 2010 Share Posted 25 August, 2010 That's funny, mine says 437. Mine doesn't say anything, because, you see, it's a ticket and therefore inanimate. The number printed thereon is 14. yours, Mr. P. Edant.

I was suprised as well, I guess the slow start is putting people off. Our trips to the West Country are usually some of the best in the season, would have thought we'd sell out easily. Our trips to the West Country are usually some of the best in the season, would have thought we'd sell out easily. Thinking about it, this is our first away game of the year as well, really can't see why we haven't easily sold 2000 for this, the terrace tickets at £16 aren't a bad price for this division now. It does say tickets are available on the day if we have not sold out http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~2106792,00.html so would be useful if the club gave an indication of the number left tomorrow afternoon, might persuade a few more to drive up for it. Appy Posted 26 August, 2010 Share Posted 26 August, 2010 I expect we'll sell out by saturday. I know a few people living near bristol that are looking to chance it on the day.
Saint Bri Posted 27 August, 2010 Share Posted 27 August, 2010 The Wellington is the best pub for away fans and serves a good selection of Bath Ales, gets busy as you might expect with its location. The King George or any of the Filton Ave pubs aren't pubs I have ever bothered with, I would recommend the Inn on the Green on the way from Filton Abbey Wood to the Welly for a very good selection of real ale and proper cider / perry and good quality pub food although they will have a no colours policy if memory serves me right. I rang the Inn on the Green last night - Apparently the OB have told the pub not to open at lunchtime on Sat so they are not opening until 6pm. Don't know if this will apply to other pubs in the area
