Arguably the best flat meeting of the year starts this Tuesday 27th and finishes Saturday 31st.

I will be going Tuesday so from my selections you will know whether i'm drunk and loaded or just plain drunk.

Tuesday Selections:

2.10 As with most of the races at Glorious Goodwood this race has a wide open feel to it, but Mark Johnston has won this twice in recent years and his string are in great form, he saddles three here, but the least exposed and most interesting is Submariner he is a lightly raced horse who has shown a good level of form this year and back at possibly his best trip he could take this opening race, Michael Jarvis' Almiqdaad could be the danger.

Selection:Submariner Danger:Almiqdaad

2.45 Mark Johnston has to be feared with Corsica in this race, and Rebel Soldier looked impressive when winning last time out, but that was a weakish race and his stamina may be stretched here, a horse that has carried on improving is Dandino, on the ratings he needs to find a little but with 4 wins out of 4 this season and Givens team in decent form he will do for me.

Selection:Dandino

3.25 3 Year olds have a great record in this winning 6 of the last 10 runnings, but Air Chief Marshall looks to have run against poor opposition in Ireland and Red Jazz although consistent hasnt the most rock solid of form, with those that have beaten him not doing too much, many of these horses have run against each other and have various form lines, one horse that doesnt is Dalghar, he comes here from France with some nice form figures but his last run on these shores when he got to within 6 lengths of Goldikova gives him a great chance. If he fails to show that form, course specialist Finjaan may capitalise.

Selection:Dalghar Danger:Finjaan

4.00 Zebedee I am sure will be popular here but may not reverse form with Stone of Folca in their Norfolk Stakes run, the one I side with is the unexposed Mayson, he routed his rivals without coming off the bridle on his latest run and must be a danger if improving again.

Selection:Mayson

4.35 A 20 runner one mile handicap!!!! great, my pin has landed on Benandonner for the in form Murphy and Fahy partnership and Bencoolen as he is a horse that never runs two races the same so is due a good run and has course form.

Selection:Benandonner Danger:Bencoolen

5.05 Big Issue will be a popular choice for many but Richard Hannons' debutants have been a little in and out of form recently with a well fancied newcomer running poorly today (Tijori) it is because of this I side with Golden Hinde, he ran well on his debut and this drop back to 6 furlongs from 7 should help as he travelled well for a long way last time. One to watch for is the nicely bred Barney Rebel for the Hills stable who are in a bit of form at the moment.

Selection:Golden Hinde Danger:Barney Rebel

5.40 I really hope I dont need a winner here to get me out of the do do. Emerging Artist and Anhar look to have good claims after their last runs and are unexposed, Precision Break ran a good second in this race last year, the winner last year was Manyriverstocross from the Alan King stable, better known for their jumpers and it is with a jumps trainer that my selection is trained, Sentry Duty has some cracking jumps form and was well fancied last time to win on the flat but the trip was too far, back over a shorter distance in which he has a record of 1 win from 1 run he will hopefully show his younger rivals a clean pair of heels.

Selection: Sentry Duty Danger: Emerging Artist

Good luck all, promises to be an interesting day

My tipping has been nothing short of diabolical this week, just Canford Cliffs and Kalahaag yesterday havent succumbed to my curse......right i've put some effort in today, and here are my selections with a write up.

2.10 It is hard to overlook the form of Duncans close (ish) second to Harbinger, both Cavalryman and La De Two are now non runners leaving Whispering Gallery for Godolphin but even if the stable were firing this horse has got it all to do, Traffic Guard, Golden Sword and my old friend Kingdom of Fife are surely not up to this level, Sri Putra ran a cracking race last time out but is inconsistent lately, has alot of weight and may not get this trip, Manighar has good form in France but hasnt shown that here so could run well but you have to take the horse on face value, that leaves Redwood, he ran behind Duncan in the Harbinger race when the Hills' horses were not running so well, his last run was decent, the stable are in form and at a nice price he is worth backing to beat the short price favourite.

Selection: Redwood Danger: Duncan

2.45 An absolute minefield of a race, 27 runners over 6 furlongs, the two I will back against the field ran eyeacatching races last time out, Tiddliwinks has been in great form for Kevin Ryan this season and finished like a train to get fourth in a hot York handicap at the weekend, Sea of Leave and Lowdown both behind him, if he doesnt find too much trouble in running, and the draw isnt too much of a problem he has a great chance, another I like is Aye Aye Digby, he loves this course, running here 3 times and finishing 1-4-3 he has moved stables and looked to be returning to form last time out, he is drawn the opposite side to Tiddliwinks so both low and high draw are catered for.

Selection 1:Tiddliwinks Selection 2:Aye Aye Digby

3.25 Only once in the last 10 years (last year) has this race gone to a horse drawn lower than 16, this cuts the field down considerably, likely favourite Oasis Dancer is well drawn in 19 and could well be better than this class, but I like the look of Sea Lord, from a good draw he can hopefully dominate from the front and have the others struggling, I also like the look of Webbow, he has a good draw in 21 and has been in good from this season without winning, with the first time cheek pieces on today and a light weight, today could be his day.

Selection 1:Sea Lord Selection 2:Webbow

4.00 Libranno looks to have a great chance with Hannon able to choose from a host of horse, but his price is prohibitive in what looks an open contest where no runner can be truelly discounted, I like the look of Johnstons horse Satin Love, but lack of experience plus winning on good to soft ground last time go against him, instead I am going for The Paddyman, Haggis knows how to get a horse ready and he won his maiden impressively, he is nicely bred and could prove to be a good horse.

Selection: The Paddyman

4.35 If Hannon doesnt win the 4.00 hopefully he will get compensation in this race, Royal Exchange has a big reputation but has yet to show anything out of the ordinary, but he is lightly raced and will hopefully come on for his, his form when second to Klammer on debut and then Ballista doesnt look too bad as both have been highly tried since.

Selection: Royal Exchange

5.15 Not having a bet in this race, but really hope Jaqueline Quest wins to compensate for her Guineas loss.

5.45 I'll take Kingsgate Choise and Perfect Blossom against the field and hope that bloody Archers Road doesnt sneak in.

Selection 1: Kingsgate Choice Selection 2:Perfect Blossom

Good luck all

After a terrible week, yesterday I finally picked some winners, and with REDARMY picking Tropical Paradise at 16/1, it was a great day for the forum. On to today and the rain may change things here, but my thoughts today regardless are:

1.55 Rock and Roll Ransom looks the likely fav after being unbeaten in his two starts, but the form of those wins doesnt look great so we will bypass him, Valiant Knight I am sure will have his fans, as Hannon and Hughes are flying but again his form doesnt look great. The horse I like the look of is Wadnaan, he routed his field in a race earlier this week and that will have boosted his confidence, he looks the type to keep improving and his yard are in great form, the stable also run Lovers Causeway, who looked an improving type before his last run , but he had a long break to overcome there and will be fitter for that run, he could go well at a big price.

Selection 1: Wadnaan Selection 2: Lovers Causeway

2.30 A lot will depend on wether Sea Lord takes his chance after winning here yesterday, if he does I think he will win, if not Rum King despite a long lay off to overcome could go well at a nice price.

Selection 1: Sea Lord Sealection 2: Rum King

3.05 Midday will love this rain but has a hard job to win the race she won last year, Strawberrydaiquiri is very consistent and shapes as if this step up in trip will bring about even more improvement, but I really like the look of French raider Stacelita, she is very consistent winning 7 of her 9 starts, she has won all on types of ground but the morning rain will help her cause even more and she can take this prize back across the channel.

Selection 1: Stacelita Danger: Strawberrydaiquiri

3.40 I have looked at this race for hours this morning and still can't find an angle, so I will be going with a couple of sprint king Dandy Nicholls horses, Evens and Odds and Sonny Red.

Selection 1: Evens and Odds Selection 2: Sonny Red

4.15 No Bet

4.50 Dandy Nicholls has won this for the last four years, so his Dolly Parton must be respected, Hannon saddles two here Eucharist looks to have a good chance but at prohibitive odds, so it may pay to side with his supposed second string Rossetti, he is lightly raced and has improved for racing, the booking of Hayley Spencer looks a good one, she often gets the best out of horses.

Selection 1: Rossetti Danger: Dolly Parton.

5.25 Not the easiest race to figure out, likely favourite Truism is consistent but rarely wins so it might be best to look elsewhere, Baylini improved for the step up in trip but she often finds one too good, Kilburn loves this course winning 2 of 3 starts here and finishing 3rd on the other occasion, Rosie Jessop claims a valuable 5 pounds and hopefully Kilburn can take the final race.

Selection 1: Kilburn Selection 2: Bencoolen

Good luck all
