Saints Trust AGM 29th July

Not really, what you're suggesting is that, despite being debt-free (to external finance providers, at least, ML will rightly want a return on his initial investment over time), if ML gets fed up and sells the club, we're up **** creek again. The simple fact is that, unless we go on a Pompey-esque spending bender between now and that point, we wouldn't be.

And in fact, if Liebherr simply walked away tomorrow (which he wouldn't), the club would be able to fund itself and would be in a healthy position.

I dont get this reaction of people saying NC and ML are going to pack it all in because a few people moan about decisions that have been made, people bring this up everytime someone speaks out again NC. Do you really think ML has become a successful multi billionaire by taking his ball home everytime some moaned about a decsion one of his senior emplyoees has made?

Seeing as though "speculation" is the word of the day....

Lets assume some of get your wish and NC packs his bags and f*cks off back to Switzerland, due to the negative comments and complaints about his running of the club.

ML, also decides that owning SFC is not for him and sells up, as the comments arent christian like and have offended him.

Would you all be happy that Nick is organising Saints Aid II to keep us afloat.

I can't speak for any others, but I don't want Cortese to leave and I believe he has done a lot of good for the club since being here. But that doesn't mean he is beyond criticism and certainly doesn't mean there aren't vast areas of improvements, mainly in dealing with supporters. I can see a trend and if this is the way fans are viewed when we're in League One, I can imagine how things would go if we continue to be successful.

Also, if Cortese and/or Liebherr were to leave, the club would still survive and I believe prosper. Maybe not as quickly as under the current team, but we've got a relatively modern 30k+ ground, can average well over 20k week in, week out, I think we'd be fine long-term.

Apparantly so.

If we make Cortese upset he will run back to Switzerland crying and Liebherr will write off his investment in protest and follow him.

ok, Ill say it another way....

By the look of your posts, you wont be happy until NC has gone, will you be happy with the alternative (whatever that may be)

I will simply be happy when Cortese winds his neck in and thinking he can get away with taking Saints fans for granted ( although he is getting away with it with the majority at the moment )

I have no massive desire to see Cortese leave, infact for the first 6 months I thought he was a class act... it seems it has all got a bit much for him now and he has got ahead of himself and thinks he can get away with pretty much anything.

If Cortese doesn't wind his neck in, then yes, I would prefer we had a different Chairman.

I don't subscribe to the fact we NEED Cortese, I think the negatives outweigh the positives so far in his tenure, certainly in regards to the way he treats supporters.

Im not saying that I personally think that NC / ML will run away when they hear negative comments, im saying that some people seem determined to try and achieve that.

Im sure they couldnt give a flying f*ck what is said on here, and quite rightly...its full of mongs.

Me included.

From what i can see the majority of Saints fans don't have much of a problem with the new regime...It seems to me, it's just the same old faces who feel the Club should be at their beck'n call, have now been put back in their place and are getting all bent up over it...

This is starting to get like the Lowe saga all over again......Carry on chaps, i know who's going to win this time round

1. After the season ticket repayment plan was withdrawn at the start of June, the Saints Trust issued a statement requesting Nicola Corstese to reconsider, this statement was printed in part by the Echo and also on this website. A letter was also sent to Nicola Cortese requesting a meeting and recieved an e mail acknowledgement that this had been recieved and would be dealt with

2. The Trust recieved no reply from the club regarding either the statement or the request for a meeting

3. The Trust then recieved other correspondence from the Club regarding other matters, the Trust complied with the Club's request to take down the Club badge amongst other images off of its website, indeed the Trust removed the entire website to ensure that there could be no confusion.

4. Shortly after the season ticket deadline I noticed that my money had been refunded by the club. I have to date recieved no correspondence from the club to explain this.

5. Despite repeated e mailed requests to various members of senior management at the club and attempts to speak to them on the phone I again have received no reason for this happening or until yesterday anyone who would actually acknowledge my correspondence.

At present I do not have a season ticket for the forthcoming season, this is the first time this has been the case in appoximately 20 years, indeed since I first entered the Dell in January 1972, nearly 39 years ago I would hazard a guess that I have missed no more than around 20 matches or so.

I have no idea what is going on, so i cannot give a reason as to what has happened so I am loathe to comment further at present .

...................................................................

I am no fan of Nick Illingsworth or The Trust but do recognise that in his own world he thinks he's doing the right things despite everying he touches becoming a shambles. However I think Cortese needs bringing down a peg or two if what NI has said is true. All this crap about banning the club crest and returning Nicks money is diabolical. I am now firmly of the view that Nicola Cortese is bad news.

Im pretty confident that Im not going to be in a position where NC feels the need to take my ST away. I can only speculate as to what the "something else" would be...

Question

You, me and hundreds of others use"sign on " names on here

How could Cortese BAN anyone on that basis ??

He would HAVE to know your REAL name surely ??

I gobbed off about Luker 2 years ago on here. Within an hour I had Andy Oldknow on the phone giving me a telling off for being nasty on the forum. True story.

So, if you think that by using a nom de plume, you protect your identity, then that's Kr*p then

We might just as well use our real names then

I'm sure a lot of people think they are "secure" on here

Why does this site give the impression of anonimity then ?

To be honest, I was already known to the club, but didn't realise they linked StuRomseySaint to me, was quite a shock when Oldknow phoned me up on my mobile for a 'chat' about some of the things I had been posting on here.

Yep and you melted like an ice cube on a sunbed. 'Yes Mr Oldknow, No Mr Oldknow, i'm sorry Mr Oldknow' etc. Then for months endless posts about what good blokes David Lukers and Andy Oldknow are. that is the trouble with you fatty, no spine, no wonder girls hate you.

You are talking about the P*mpey FA Cup game, where we managed to get extra tickets. Hardly an issue, as everyone who wanted a ticket, got one.

Sorry, left this a few days so hopefully the fuss would die down, but anyway. You've stated this a couple of times. No not everyone who wanted a ticket got one - I didn't so stop making generalisations again.

If you had taken the time to queue then you would have got one.

Dont have any idea what the Trust AGM discussed. Am not a member and didn't go.

I have however emailed them stating my intention to bring a legal action against them for recovery of my Silverspoons ticket costs.

I have yet to receive a reply.

Maybe they discussed it at the AGM. I'd be worried if I faced legal action that might open the gateway to £20,000 of claims.

I don't think anyone else will be that dull to pay £25 and travel to Northampton to recover £10 to be fair.

Good luck.

The legal advice I've received is they will probably have to defend it, because were they to lose, then any other p*ssed off Silverspoons attendee could also automatically get their cash back.

I'm happy to take a little time and money to do this. I dont much like being treated this way, and I particularly dislike a group parading as the Saints Trust, with high public profile, behaving like this. The Saints Trust promised me a reply within a week about 4 months ago. They haven't replied to any emails from me since - even though I said I'd rather avoid legal action, but did at least need the courtesy of a reply and explanation. Nope, that was too much for them.

If Illingsworth is getting annoyed about hearing nothing back from the club after sending several emails etc., perhaps he should put his own house in order first.

You know what, good luck, but at the end of the day, they were just the donkeys, distributors or whatever. There was the owners of Silverspoons and the Promoter ( Eddie Limp Wrist ) who are the ones legally responsible.

Also, regardless of whether the day was a f*ck up or not ( and it most definately was ) .... taking down another Saints fan... shame on you.

Stu', I'm disappointed. With such a rich and full social life as you claim, it's somewhat surprising to see you back at home and posting just after 11 on a Friday night. ;)

Good luck or shame on me???

They were the people who sold me the tickets...if they want to sue the venue in turn, thats up to them. My contract was with them.

If people are Saints fans, but rip off other Saints fans in a pretty disgraceful way, whilst simultaneously portraying themselves as the voice of the fans, then I dont think I shoudl just let them get on with it, just cos they support the same club as me.

I dont think it was deliberate though fella, Everton did the same thing for thier cup final and it all went well, it may have been a **** gig for you but to say they deliberatly fleeced saints fans is wrong.

Not deliberate maybe, but grossly negligent. It's been the thoroughgoing lack of contrition and refusal to reply to emails in 4 months since then that is especially riling.

Got - Queues six deep, very expensive beer, no ex-players, no food...in a urine soaked death hole.

The Good Luck was sarcasm because you have no hope. They were just distributors.

Even if they are the distributors, they are responsible. They took my cash. They can go on to sue to the venue if they choose. Their contract with me.

If you pay someone to deliver you X, and they don't deliver X because someone further down the supply chain screws up, you sue them and they sue further down the supply chain.

If you buy a tin of beans from Asda, and it turns out to be a can of warm turd, you sue Asda. The fact that they are just the distributors, and Heinz actually produced and packaged the warm turd doesnt come into it - unless Asda want to sue Heinz.

You are talking about events though, different kettle of fish.

If you buy your match ticket from West Quay for a Saints home game and the match is cancelled. Do you expect a refund from the club or the ticket lady at West Quay? And if no refund is forthcoming, do you sue the club or the ticket office at West Quay?

I think that answers all you need to know. xx
