Weston Saint Posted 22 July, 2010 Share Posted 22 July, 2010 Dimitri Mascarenhas and vice-captain, Nic Pothas have both been ruled out for the rest of the 2010 season through injury http://www.rosebowlplc.com/news/hampshire-suffer-double-injury-blow/
stevegrant Posted 22 July, 2010 Share Posted 22 July, 2010 Dimi's only played one game all year so isn't a massive loss in the sense that we've done reasonably without him anyway. Pothas is a loss mainly because of his contribution with the bat, I'm led to believe Matthew Bates is a better keeper. Cements Cork's captaincy for the rest of the year, anyway, which is a good thing IMO.
corsacar saint Posted 22 July, 2010 Share Posted 22 July, 2010 I agree with you Steve, that if Corkie stays captain for the season, that will be a good thing.I hope he gets another contract as well.[unless he decides to go full time with Sky. Weston Saint Posted 22 July, 2010 Author Share Posted 22 July, 2010 Michael Bates was with England Under 19's but called back and now withdrawn. So who did England pick to take his place - Adam Rouse another up and coming Hampshire Academy Wicket Keeper who made his debut for England yesterday. Leicestersaint Posted 30 July, 2010 Share Posted 30 July, 2010 I have been a big fan of both Dimi and Pothas but we seem to be doign OK now so fingers crossed for the rest of the season!
