It's a very big insult to all those that gave, and laid their lives on the line to defend not only our country but the spirit of freedom in europe, when our nation stood alone against facism.

Please remember this was a time when the US policy was isolationism, the US ambassador in England called Churchill a bafoon for not suing for peace with Hitler and reported back to Roosvelt that Britain could only hope to hold out for four days against the might of Germany.

Although 'Call me Dave' is a huge improvement over the Blair/Brown debacle.....There's no excuse for such a **** up.....I've always felt there was a tad too much 'Tony' in him, and this is a classic case of that Blairite shallowness shining through.

 

No surprise that traits like shallowness etc, should come to the fore while rubbing shoulders with the 'anointed one' (ex? )
