SFKA South Woodford Posted 22 July, 2010 Share Posted 22 July, 2010 It's a very big insult to all those that gave, and laid their lives on the line to defend not only our country but the spirit of freedom in europe, when our nation stood alone against facism. Please remember this was a time when the US policy was isolationism, the US ambassador in England called Churchill a bafoon for not suing for peace with Hitler and reported back to Roosvelt that Britain could only hope to hold out for four days against the might of Germany. So calamity Cameron, should take a history lesson before he opens his smug gob again. Politicians are supposedly accountable to the electorate, so it would be nice to see Cameron make a public apology for insulting all of those brave men and women. Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 22 July, 2010 Share Posted 22 July, 2010 Add this to Clegg's DISMAL showing during PMQs yesterday and it's been a good week. I bet Cleggy is in for a right good Eton style thrashing when Dave gets back for calling the Iraq war illegal.

Saint George Posted 22 July, 2010 Share Posted 22 July, 2010 FFS really does not matter. What a non story. Although 'Call me Dave' is a huge improvement over the Blair/Brown debacle.....There's no excuse for such a **** up.....I've always felt there was a tad too much 'Tony' in him, and this is a classic case of that Blairite shallowness shining through. No surprise that traits like shallowness etc, should come to the fore while rubbing shoulders with the 'anointed one' (ex? )
