Swindon away was the worst experience for me last season. Swindon were dross so what the hell were we?To win we have to turn up and sometimes we didn't last season. We were bullied out of it in places.

Perhaps some should come u with a chant about how little they mean to us we haven't even giving the a nickname.

I'm no poet so it won't be me.

In a Millwall stylee...

"You don't like us, you don't like us

You don't like us, WE DON'T CARE,

we don't mind you, we don't mind you,

you don't like us, WE DON'T CARE"

I think that explains the situation quite nicely.

I actually normally look out for Bournemouth results and was happy when they got promoted last year ! We're not rivals and both clubs should get over it (them more than the minority of us that might try and make it into a rivalry)

Me too! Dont really see them as rivals but am pleased at the progress they made. Now it is our turn to get back to our real level too!

On various threads where it's been discussed of the goings on/cheating down the road Saints fans will stick up for the 'Cherries' saying how unfair it's been that the blue few continually try to flout the rules of the transfer embargo (FA Cup cheats) whilst it was always rigorously enforced at Dean Court.

I like going to Bournemouth, it's like going on holiday, they're not a 'local rival'.

Good luck to them finishing 20th next season...move along please, nothing to see here.

When they announced Bournemouth got promotion at the end of last season, everyone in the ground appluded!! Hardly a rivalry at all!

Have to have a little giggle at them calling us 'Scummers' though

Why?

Because, my six fingered friend, Boscombe are a noddy two bob outfit who aren't really rivals with the Stains. Or anybody for that matter.

So they nick everybody elses horrid words for clubs they'd like to be rivals with, because everybody else considers them a joke.

I can't ever see them going higher than they are now, they will need to spend money to do so, which they don't have. We will (should) excelorate past them now and leave them well behind.

You only had to have seen their open bus parade after gaining promotion to see that their fan base is an embarrassment and what a tiny club they really are. It was a truly pathetic turn out. We would fill the streets of Soton to the rafters should we gain promotion.

Please tell me that was a clever play on words and not an attempt at spelling accelerate?! :-)

tbf to him, its just a chairman talking up his club, nothing wrong with that. He doesnt have a pop at Saints.

If I were a Bournemouth fan I'd want him to be at least a little realistic.

South Coast clubs are

Saints

Pompey

Brighton

Plymouth

Exeter

Torquay

Bournemouth

Bournemouth are never going to be able to sustain the crowds of teams like Saints or Portsmouth.

Plymouth and Brighton with both have good stadiums over 20k in next couple of years and would also be out of the reach of Bournemouth.

Basically 5th on the South coast is the best Bournemouth will ever be.

Granted he over-eggs it, but Bournemouth and Poole has a pretty sizable population. No reason why the couldnt build up over time (a decade) to a broadly comparable size to Plymouth.

If England 2018 bid is successful Home Park will be a 46k stadium. It will be too big for them but still gives them something Bournemouth will never have. Even if 2018 isn't successful they are definitely increasing capacity to 27k no matter what.

Brighton's new stadium is 22k with room for expansion, and is built to an extremely high spec. Again far more than Bournemouth will ever have.

exeter and plymouth would probably count as west country clubs

He said "South Coast". Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay and Brighton are all on the South Coast. As a Plymouth based Saints fans I'm sure you know that. :D

and I know that they are classed as a south west club....they even call themselves "the best in the west"...

like calling newcastle and norwich east coast clubs..when in fact, one is labelled a north east club and one east anglia
