Another classic Wikipedia quote from Big Ben himself "On leaving Portsmouth Benjani spoke of difficult times at the club. He declared that he had struggled to adjust to local customs involving smelling like a fish, dressing like a pikey and sleeping with your sister"

Quality!!!

This has got to be the funniest thing I have ever read on Wiki. I did'nt believe it was actually there till I read it myself.

Poor striker with a poor games to goal ratio, claims to be 31 but thought to be older, and he was a skate....... nuff said. No thanks, we need a young, hungry up and coming player who will push for a first team place, not some over the hill, overpaid yesterday man who will be happy sit on the bench and take a big wage.

So' date=' for clarity, do you want us to sign him or not?![/quote']

+1, get off the fence waggy

People need to remember where we are. We're in the third tier, a very average league which is weaker than last season (remember we started on -10, we didn't even start playing until 10 games into the season and we still nearly made the play-offs).

Any player that has played in the Prem for the last 5/6 years is going to be a great signing and would strengthen us without doubt.

You have to be a bit think not to realise this.

Unfortunately its now been hijacked by a fish-fiddler, doesn't even know how to use a spell checker.

"Benjamin Mwaruwari (born 13 August 1978), known as Benjani, is a Zimbabwean footballer, who currently is negotiating a move to Southampton as he's heard about this so-called "League One" and wants to know what it's like to play for a mediocre side in that division. He also has a rare condition which means he's addicted to losing 4-1 to teams playing in blue that are based only 17 miles away from the club he plays for and felt this would be the perfect opportunity to continue to feed that addiction. He also said he can't wait to get to grips with the local Stalions as he always wanted one back in Zimbabwe"

Indeed, cant believe we've topped 100 posts.

From the same people that brought you "Paul Allen is buying our club"

Mad thread, next we'll be hearing that we've signed the current European Footballer of the Year, you couldn't make it up.

Why couldn't we make it up? I pretty sure we could if we tried...

I agree with the Ugly I dont understand how we would play Benjani without causing problems with our current strikers

I totally agree. In all honesty I would prefer Tyson as I think he brings more to the squad i.e. his ability to play wide as an impact sub as well as up front. If not Tyson then a younger hungrier impact player as said in the UI article.

he may be better...like saying dont know how we could play fonte without causing trouble to chris perry

Echo says bid dismissed.

Source close to the player says he knows nothing of any interest, plus he wants £40k a week.

Oh well, fun while it lasted
