Baj Posted 19 July, 2010 Posted 19 July, 2010 Ooooh, does that mean it will also work on my 'lost' phone that I have at home that has been blocked by o2? Admitting to insurance fraud on a public forum isn't very clever...
Dave Benson Phillips Posted 19 July, 2010 Author Posted 19 July, 2010 Admitting to insurance fraud on a public forum isn't very clever... I was meant hypothetically speaking. :-)
Dave Benson Phillips Posted 19 July, 2010 Author Posted 19 July, 2010 Hypothetically, and genuinely, no, you can't Thats a shame. So an iPhone which has had it's imei number blocked is effectively useless?
saint_stevo Posted 19 July, 2010 Posted 19 July, 2010 DBP, how much we looking at? Bloke at work wants one, was going to get one online for £230, so £200?
Dave Benson Phillips Posted 19 July, 2010 Author Posted 19 July, 2010 DBP, how much we looking at? Bloke at work wants one, was going to get one online for £230, so £200? The 'new' ones I have looked at online are selling north of £300. So taking ebay fees off etc I won't take less than £250 at the moment.
thesaint sfc Posted 19 July, 2010 Posted 19 July, 2010 IMEI blocked phones are bricks. Your only option would be to sell it abroad where the blacklist isn't in place.
Baj Posted 19 July, 2010 Posted 19 July, 2010 Thats a shame. So an iPhone which has had it's imei number blocked is effectively useless? Even if you change the imei and change network, itll still be blocked.
Dave Benson Phillips Posted 28 July, 2010 Author Posted 28 July, 2010 Still for sale, willing to knock it out cheap as I can't be arsed with eBay. £275
Saint-scooby Posted 28 July, 2010 Posted 28 July, 2010 Buy a case off me and it will increase its appeal ten fold Plus I have a blocked IMEI 8GB there must be a market for these phones somewhere
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 29 July, 2010 Posted 29 July, 2010 eBay France, eBay Italy and eBay.com (usa) spring to mind as the phone is only network blocked in the UK!
