STARTS THURSDAY JULY 15th !

 

 

1) The challenge to be held on a monthly basis and for the sake of keeping it easier to follow a new challenge/thread each month. Overall winner at end of the year.

2) Clearly free for anyone to join and simply posting your first tip(s) means you are automatically in.

3) All bets to be win or ew singles only and settled at SP. UK/Irish Horse racing only

4) In order to be eligible to win you must post a minimum of 5 tips in any month.

5) Everyone to be allowed a NAP And nb best each day, not compulsory to have both but NAP to count 3 points, nb 1. Clearly NAP has to be win only , 0.5 ew for NB if applicable.

So maximum of TWO bets on any given day.

 

Hopefully I have covered everything but still time for edit/corrections.

 

Good luck all, 1 unofficial rule :

 

Whatever happens DON'T let Frankie win:D

Pressure getting to you already Chris...in fact i'm at a disadvantage until next Friday as I have to choose mine the night before without knowing about going etc. you wait until the holidays start :-)

Much better and the kind of easy to read format I was looking for !

Edit: That said I think for a start my score should be - 2.25 ( if you are settling e/w at 1/4 the odds)) and Hatch - 0.75, Cato and Canmdjik + 7 though fair to say I'm struggling to see just how you are working it out ? Maybe in the morning all will be clear ? You, Stevo and NS I agree with.

The table now is fine except I cannot quite work out ( as per edit) if the results are 100% accurate. As for smileys if you still have one more day at school ask the children;)

The Total For The Win Part = 0

 

The Total For The Place Part = 1.4

 

The Total For Your Single(s) Bet = 1.4

 

Profit 1.4- 0.5 ( loss on win part ) = 0.9

The only time I could see myself in top spot, all be it joint top, has been denied.... *sobs into hanky smiley thingy but inside the smiley knows he will be back and wont let the baskets drag him down*

No, after some discussion you weren't banned but hit with a 7 point penalty so stop bleating and count your blessings as well as your chickens ! I think it is safe to assume that ew odds are settled in line with standard bookie rules :)

Giddy up!!

 

Cape to Rio beaten by the better horse, fair enough. Hazelrigg (backed in from 9s to 4/1) beaten by the jockeys failure to get blind off does leave a bitter taste. Oh well.

Still bleating then :rolleyes: To be fair Hazelriggs might well have won otherwise, Chilly Filly was beaten but was the better horse though contrived not to win !
