Dulldays, your obsession with me is concerning.

You have my contact details, why not take it up with me personally...

Oh...

lol

edit - 11 PMs...all about you wanting me to stop "being a cyber warrior" and meet you "face to face" like "a man".......

So the ST sales are pretty much what they were last year. I think that goes to show, despite what some self-professed genii on here think, unlike just about any other 'product' you can think of season tickets don't really need marketing.

Fans are well aware of when the season starts and when they would need to buy/renew a s/t without the need for renewal packs, advertising in the paper, via email, etc, etc, etc.

Maybe, just maybe, the very rich and successful Cortese does indeed know far more about running a businessthan those stuck in poorly paying menial office jobs with work so dull it allows then time to post on here 20+ times a day.

Selective post there, look at the posts above, I clearly stated that was exaggerated. I estimated 10k and the STH's are 13k

Hardly a million miles out, but don't let that stop you...

For someone supposedly in sales, you don't think +30% with over a couple of weeks to go is a million miles out! ;)

Oh...

Can you really not just admit you were wrong without resorting to this? No wonder you feel persecuted.

sometimes, when you are wrong, its better to admit it, be humble and quiet.

the alternative is to look desperate and pathetic - however reading this mornings debates I am glad he opted for the second it is far more entertaining!

its almost like the immature school bully getting found out as lacking!

I agreed with much of what dbh orginally said reagrding season tickets and didn't think we would sell as many as we have. If we go on to now match or better last seasons attendances (Taking away the emotion of whether its fair or right on the fans) then Cortese, will have generated additional revenue for the same product, which from a CEO perspective, would have to be deemed as a success, so fair play to him.

What i'm still not sure about is whether these decisions/ communications are stratergy or made up as he goes along. Time will tell, but on the first emotive subject, its one nil Cortese

I'm not sure its exactly the same product. The two squads (last year and this) and the likelyhood of us challenging for promotion are very different.

I agree with that, really didn't see them selling that many, so I'm surprised to say the least. Hopefully that will allow us more money on new signings.

we sold tickets for last season at the start of the season not the end. At that point we certainly weren't title favourites therefore the product was different to what it is now.

Not that it matters, but we'd of finished 5th with the 10.

'scuse me for adding my 2p worth but didn't we sell lots of STs last season because the club were on the "brink of oblivion" and ST sales were a way for the fans to try and keep the club afloat??

This season's ST sales are on a completely different premise!

Can anyone also tell me what the ST sales were when we were in the PL and Chumpionship. Wasn't it only about 17-18K??

No. Season tickets weren't able to be made available for sale until the takeover went through.

how many times has the great big expert in everything stu been right..? not many..

im sure if the sales were 30% the other way he would be letting us all know about how he predicted this.

lol at stu

so lets see your all saying, having all of june & july to get a season ticket .. entering a season they are expected to do much better ... with having had a full season to use as a "taster" by which to sell them & they match last years & you think thats a result? OMG how blind are people? IF they had made a serious attempt to market them they should of expected many many more than last year .. not a FEW!

while it at first glance looks like it's not the disaster Stu/dave predicted ... dont you think as faviourites for the league this year we should of at least increased sales by 15% .. AT LEAST!!

I think it's clear they want tickets sold per match rather that season tickets .. why else remove option to buy them after 6th aug & the half season ticket.. The proof will come in mid season or If we have a poor start? when ppl who would of gone but who dont have a st think oh F it cant be assed ...
