Give it to Ron Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 under my tartan blanket with that noise....... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2090047,00.html
Big Bad Bob Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Call me a killjoy if you like but thank **** for that. One of our South Africa workers has come over for a course and bought some of those with her. Man they make a really annoying noise in real life....
trousers Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Hmmm.......I see that they haven't banned Kazoos. I hope they close that particular loophole pretty sharpish....
charlie saint Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 If you're missing them, try this http://www.vuvuzela-time.co.uk/www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2090047,00.html
the saint in winchester Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I grew to like them, and I'm not sure I can watch football without the sound now.
dronskisaint Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Excellent news...also prevents serious injury caused by those nearby inserting them where they undoubtedly belong!
ericofarabia Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I grew to like them, and I'm not sure I can watch football without the sound now. Top tip for you then .... catch a swarm of bumble bees in 2 jars, on match days carefully take the lid off the jars and place over your ears for the duration of the game. A less painful option, download 90 mins worth of them onto your ipod/phone whatever and play at max level during game Either option is probably less painful than having one stuffed up your jacksy wide end first.
Hatch Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I love them, brought back 3. Can't wait to smuggle them into St Marys.
trousers Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I love them, brought back 3. Can't wait to smuggle them into St Marys. Won't a long bulbous horn in your trousers arouse suspicion?
positivepete Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I love them, brought back 3. Can't wait to smuggle them into St Marys. Shame, I brought two back. Hoping to wake up some of those around me in the Kingsland Centre!!
Surman4no7shirt Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Can I bing a slide whistle for when Forcast is in goal?
angelman Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 awful things. one of the things that I missed in the WC was the expectant roar of the crowd as it was drowned out by the bloody drone from the vuvus.
Marsdinho Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Thank **** for that - terrible invention. I liked the sign during the SA v France game....."Sing, dont blow"
PhilippineSaint Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Its probably been said before but they were called vulvas because they were used by c**nts
LGTL Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 "Due to a number of requests" Have people seriously been contacting the club to see if they could bring them?? Oh dear.
Macey_J2 Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I think it's more likely that they had requests for them to ban them! I was thinking about it.
landford.saint Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I agree it is definately a Health and Safety issue. Because if anyone blows one near me I'll stick it up his arse. Pretty poor world cup finals, all made worse by 2p worth of plastic. (a bit like some wags chests I have been told)
Saint Fan CaM Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Thank goodness for that...didn't mind them whne on TV, but wouldn't want some prat blowing one of those near me at SMS.
Neil Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 As Saints are now making decisions 'in the interest of everyone's enjoyment', are we (the lifeblood of the club) able to make further suggestions for things that would improve the match-day experience? 'Everyone' is a big claim, but some sort of democracy may be happening! There's been plenty of improvements listed on here before, surely some will be taken into account...

Thanks Eric! Haha. OK, I'm going to go for bees in a jar option, and take them down to SMS each game. As such, to preserve their safety, I'll keep the lid on, and release one every time we score! Rather than a dove of peace, it'll be a bee of celebration.
St Landrew Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 I see the club has obviously made a landmark decision, as it is featured on the BBC Football website. Other clubs banned them before us, but once we had done it, it became front page news. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/default.stm down the main page, on the right: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8815252.stm

It doesn't matter to the minority, what the majority think. I reckon any club that leaves the decision up the the fans is asking for trouble. TCWTB is said to appall the quiet majority at Fratton Park. It doesn't stop him.
Ian the Red Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Thank **** for that!! Ruined the World Cup, apart from those overpaid tarts with the England shirts on that is!!
charlie saint Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 awful things. one of the things that I missed in the WC was the expectant roar of the crowd as it was drowned out by the bloody drone from the vuvus. The only actual 'singing' I heard was after Lampard's goal was disallowed... actually, that was a bit of a golden moment for me - the entire watching world was treated to a rousing chorus of "The referee's a W*nker! The referee's a w*nker!"
Picard Posted 14 July, 2010 Posted 14 July, 2010 The good news :TCWTB has given up his bell. The bad news: He is now known as TCWTV. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/people/You-thought-he-couldn39t-be.6378097.jp
