Arizona Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Players who have underperformed or had howlers, as opposed to just generally crap and obscure players from N. Korea and Honduras we've never heard of. Short of putting out an entire England XI, here goes Green (England) Zambrotta (Italy) - Terry (England) - Canavaro (Italy) - Evra (France) Keita (CIV) - Gatusso (Italy) - Melo (Brazil) - Kewell (Australia) Rooney (England) - Anelka (France)
Gorgiesaint Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Hmm can't really argue with that back 4 (back 5 really - but I thought I'd add some variety at goalkeeper!) Sorenson (Denmark) Zambrotta (Italy) - Terry (England) - Cannavaro (Italy) - Evra (France) Kaite (Nigeria) - Van Bommel (Holland) - Behrami (Switzerland - Sorry Markus) Ribery (France) - Rooney (England) - Ronaldo (Portugal)

Arizona Posted 12 July, 2010 Author Share Posted 12 July, 2010 No room for Heskey? Again. My hopes for Heskey were somewhere on par with the North Korean squad (RIP). Rooney on the other hand was being bigged up as one of the top 3 players in the world and ended up looking like a vicar in a strip club. Ronaldo didn't set the tournament alight either, although in the Spain match he was completely isolated up front and really isn't a 'focal point' striker anyway. Ponty Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 Perhaps you should start another thread based on joke selections in the first place. Heskey might get a look in then.

Dark Munster Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 No room for Heskey? Again. The only person in the world who would pick Heskey for an international team is Crapello. Ok, maybe Heskey's mum would too.
Gorgiesaint Posted 12 July, 2010 Share Posted 12 July, 2010 He would be the first on my team sheet even though it's a bit insulting to muppets !! I think he's a marmite player - you love him if he's on your team but otherwise you hate him. To be honest, I think the knock out games have shown him for what he is - a very average player but a complete thug. Van Marwijk had him when he was Feijenoord coach and he was thug then, and he hasn't got any better since his move to Bayern.

Dark Munster Posted 13 July, 2010 Share Posted 13 July, 2010 or any England manager in the last 10 years The meant the current Heskey (even worse than the younger version).
