Hatch Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 I'm going on a Stag weekend in a couple of weeks and apparently we are going Dune buggy riding at some place in Southampton. Anyone know of the place and what it is like? The Buggy riding I mean, not Southampton.

Dog Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 Yep, I went there 3 weeks ago and it was bad. The buggies only go 15mph top speed, and you only go one at a time.

How much did you pay for that (dis)pleasure?
Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 I have been in Cage Buggies before, not sure if they are the same as a Dune Buggy? They are essentially a go kart with a roll cage over the top and go alot faster. I would say they went about 35-40 MPH and was in the Marwell Zoo Activity bit. I enjoyed it and thought they were a laugh
Junction 9 Posted 29 September, 2008 Share Posted 29 September, 2008 I have done this. It's basically just riding a stolen quadbike around Thornhill with no helmet on.

It sounds suspiciously close to car racing to be your cup of tea.
