CalneSaint Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Loving the new away shirt....especially as it doesn't have a sponsor splashed across the chest. will be getting one at the weekend....using my 10% off voucher from my season ticket booklet....always a bonus...
Matthew Le God Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Loving the new away shirt will be getting one at the weekend It isn't out until 23rd July.
doggface Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 The away goalkeeper shirt is light blue and can be seen from this link. Also includes many images of the away shirt back/front. It will have red and gold numbering. http://www.pitchsidephotography.com/Football/2010-11/Winchester-City-1-Southampton/12887297_q8MyP#930606428_8UnzE Good Link Loving the away gk kit

It does look like a training kit, and for me doesn't have anything about it that says "Southampton". Then again, I love the home kit, so swings and roundabouts...
Pilchards Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Good Link Loving the away gk kit Yes the goalie kit looks very nice. That black shirt is totally boring IMHO it needs a sponsor to make it look a little more jazzy.
Edmonton Saint Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Don't like it. Looks like no thought went into at all. There were far better designs on here. Won't be wasting my money on that.

It does look like a training kit, and for me doesn't have anything about it that says "Southampton". Then again, I love the home kit, so swings and roundabouts... No its just a bog standard Umbro template, very similar to WBA's new away kit except for a red trim, obviously a lot of thought went into it.
Saint_clark Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Well I don't mind it, but I hate the way they described it as "going even further" than the black/red kit from 06/07. That was one of the best kits i've seen IMO.
St. Jason Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 The kit doesn't really excite me, bog standard umbro template, really don't get the "love this kit, can't wait for it to come out"!
explorer saint Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Very poor kit where is the yellow spitit of 76' what this club is about, think this is a bland what ever no thought lets get some money in to people who will buy any old crap, very disapointed this kit says nothing nothing about this club just another money spinner, and this is from someone who thinks the home kit is spot on

jonesyboyo Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Be interesting to hear the away songs "come on you Blacks" don't really do it for me!!! Bit gutted we're not in yellow ...YELLOWS! YELLOWS! YELLOWS! YELLOWS!
Matthew Le God Posted 11 July, 2010 Posted 11 July, 2010 Be interesting to hear the away songs "come on you Blacks" don't really do it for me!!! What is wrong with "Come on you Saints"?
westofshannonsaint Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 .......... just another money spinner............. regardless of weather you like the design or not, how is it just another money spinner? the club have to have an away shirt, it's in the rules.
Matthew Le God Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 regardless of weather you like the design or not, how is it just another money spinner? the club have to have an away shirt, it's in the rules. It is not in the rules that they have to make replicas of the shirt and sell them. Just that the actual team should have a home and away shirt.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 Are they offering an installment plan with it?
Scummer Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 It is not in the rules that they have to make replicas of the shirt and sell them. Just that the actual team should have a home and away shirt. There's no rule that anyone has to buy it either.
Chez Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 Is this actually the real away kit or is this just some sort of temporary /training kit as the actual away kit has not been released yet? FWIW, IMO just like the home kit, it looks cack.
Saint Garrett Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 I'm not a fan, would have much preferred us to be in yellow, some of the mock ups on here were far better IMO
Saint Johnno Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 I haven't read all the comments, so apologies if I repeat anything: The black kit looks good on the players, but what do we wave in the stand? Black scarves?? We will hardly be noticeable except for the noise we make.
djharvey Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 Is this actually the real away kit or is this just some sort of temporary /training kit as the actual away kit has not been released yet? FWIW, IMO just like the home kit, it looks cack. FWIW, then dont get one! Simples.
Arizona Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 I haven't read all the comments, so apologies if I repeat anything: The black kit looks good on the players, but what do we wave in the stand? Black scarves?? We will hardly be noticeable except for the noise we make. We could inflate a load of bin bags and chuck them around.
djharvey Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 We could be the 'All Blacks & a touch of red' and all do the Haka in the stands! Lol
Chez Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 FWIW, then dont get one! Simples. Replica kits are for the kids IMO so you wouldn't see me in one even if it did look good.
krissyboy31 Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 Bit gutted we're not in yellow I'm not! Boring colour and the colour of cowards!! ...YELLOWS! YELLOWS! YELLOWS! YELLOWS! And delighted we won't be hearing the above tedious sh!tty chant any time soon.
corky morris Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 My 8yo says no. That's £35 saved. Tight ****er Walker!!!!
View From The Top Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 Tight ****er Walker!!!! I learnt it all from you mush.
doggface Posted 12 July, 2010 Posted 12 July, 2010 Saw it in the west quay store and must say very underwhelmed. Quite right, no imagination and too plain. Maybe a grower but no individuality at all IMO. It is very inoffensive & better than a fair few in the last few years which were pretty offensive, but yeah dull.
ponto1963 Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 Well I don't mind it, but I hate the way they described it as "going even further" than the black/red kit from 06/07. That was one of the best kits i've seen IMO. Agreed loved that kit, regret not buying the replica now .
funkymojo44 Posted 13 July, 2010 Posted 13 July, 2010 It is not in the rules that they have to make replicas of the shirt and sell them. Just that the actual team should have a home and away shirt. Imagine the uprour on here if they didn't release replicas to buy?
charlie saint Posted 14 July, 2010 Posted 14 July, 2010 ...just another money spinner... See, this I just don't understand. Do you actually support this club? I ask, because otherwise why would you be moaning about them attempting to raise as much money as possible - even if it's by selling clothes you don't like (and don't have to buy)? Moan all you like about how they then spend that money.
Fareham Saints Posted 14 July, 2010 Posted 14 July, 2010 I always want the away kit to be a bold blue and yellow, these black kits , what do you wear when we reach a Wmbley final ?
