dronskisaint Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 A certain Anthony Pulis in action for the Saints XI against Winchester. Appears to be the only non-youth player in the line-up. Makes you wonder what sort of contract was given & why?!
Andy_Porter Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 Why would he agree to leave? He's not going to get another club and we're obviously paying him well. Great decision Rupert.
beatlesaint Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 and why he wasnt released with the others... Cos his contract doesn't expire until 29 August....we do have an option for a further year apparently.....dont hold your breath ;-) They are probably giving him every chance to find another club. Perhaps Doddsy will have a quiet word with ****erill !!
Gorgiesaint Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 A certain Anthony Pulis in action for the Saints XI against Winchester. Tempting though it is to drive 450 miles down from Edinburgh this weekend, I'll think I'll pass - which is more than Pulis can do!!!

Makes you wonder what sort of contract was given & why?! Its pretty clearly a signal to Pulis that he isnt going to have any role in the first team and that he should feck off.
Panda Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 Maybe he is recovering from injury and needs a run out before joining up with the first team? (Joke!)
Andy_Porter Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 It's beyond funny now, he needs to just give up True, the whole I've seen Pulis in a Saints shirt was quite funny this time last year. Should have just offered him a settlement and sent him home until he accepts it.
moon monkey Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 It would be even funnier if he didn't make the starting 11 tomorrow
dubai_phil Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 Stop it. Just remember the Skates may still owe us some money, so he still has a critical part to play... Pay us our money or we lend you Pulis for the season in a caring, sharing, neighbourly fashion
musesaint Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 This must be some sort of sick joke Everyone knows that this "man" is a hologram who doesn't really exist ...the Higgs Boson of the football world
Saint J 77 Posted 9 July, 2010 Posted 9 July, 2010 So his contract doesn't expire until 29 August. If they really don't rate him why not just pay him off the difference and be done with it?
Doctoroncall Posted 10 July, 2010 Posted 10 July, 2010 So his contract doesn't expire until 29 August. If they really don't rate him why not just pay him off the difference and be done with it? My thoughts as well, he's taking up a place and not a good example of a footballer. Lincoln fans didn't rate him when he was on loan with them.
david in sweden Posted 10 July, 2010 Posted 10 July, 2010 one suggestion was that ....at one time.... we were about to sign his father... .as manager, and we didn't........ and Stoke did. Apparantly Pulis (Snr.)......... didn't consider that his son was Premiership material ..and didn't sign him.! Bit of poor judgment there , eh ?
