Walkabout used to be brilliant on Sundays until Ikon closed and the c***s made that the new club. Back at college, Hotshots/Ikon on a Thursday were awesome! Even the odd Saturday at Jumpin' Jaks was a good laugh.

Used to go to SoBar or Kaos every Saturday a few years back. Was always good, don't know about them now though.

Living so close to Bedford Place I tend to stick around here now. Revs is the only real decent place. Always low risk as it doesn't cost to get in whereas paying to get into Junk or Orange theres a risk it may be cack.

That said, I don't think I've had a bad night at Orange rooms. Red Lion in Bedford place has perked up a bit recently. New owners I think.

Did that used to be the Green House, I used to drink there regularly.

No, Orange Rooms used to be Simons Wine Bar going way back. Orange Rooms opened c2001.

Green house is on the corner opposite Rev, which used to be and was better as the Lizard Lounge. Anyone remember Fez Bar which was upstairs? used to be good in there, nice and chilled out.

My memory is shot to ****, I remember the name of the Lizard Lounge, but thought it was another bar - no doubting you're right though, so what was the other bar called with windows all round that is near it?

Lizard Lounge had windows all round and was on the corner, then the other side of the road was the Green House and also had windows all round it, which was opposite the Pensioners, The Academy was round the corner from there but that has changed its name on the couple of times since then, think it is called Reflex now.

Rev's is full of tw*ts with too much money these days, but still is a half decent bar night out if you are with the right crowd, your looking at around £4 a drink mind. Nice clunge though.

I get you, thought you meant the Lizzard Lounge became the greenhouse. That's right the Lizard Lounge was opposite. I remember the Academy - bit too comercial for my liking and the bouncers were ****s. I wasn't even ****ing up his car when one of them knocked me out cold.

Revs is ok, TBF i don't think it is a lot different to the lounge.

As for everywhere full of C8nts, literally everywhere is full of c8nts these days, i am 24 and i am fed up with town now, it's just sh*te, watching the new 18 yr olds strut around and generally be a loud mouth bunch of tw*ts makes my skin crawl and makes me hope i didn't look like that lol.

 I think i was about 24 when i started thinking that too!! Ended up prefering a friday night in my local where i could hear my mates talk and choose the music on the juke box! Went to Oceanas a few months ago and felt so old, went out in town after last game of the season and enjoyed it, still like the odd night out in town but they are an excpetion now rather than the old days of thursday-sunday nights, with the only gap between the drinking on a saturday being 3-5pm on a saturday when i was at the Dell/SMS!

Martines II in Beastleigh was brilliantly sh1te.

Started going in there when it was over 25's on Saturday nights in the early 90's, (I was in my early 20's) and the dress code was 'dress to impress' meaning we all went in wearing our ill fitting suits!

hell yes! jebus, spent many many many weekends in that place. The 101 bar up the top, seeing the amazing jet engines hung on the ceiling. the daft bint bird who used to "control" the lights next to her equally dull daft DJ boyfriend. any look over the balcony to the dancefloor would be greeted with 200 men all in white shirts trying to pull about 45 womens.

fuggin loved that place!!

Nope, I went too when it was called Riverside.

Fond memories of Riverside, McCluskeys, Burbanks, Simons Wine Bar, New Yorks, Dog & Duck (Swifts? the night Hammy used to do anyway)

Burbanks!! How could i forget that place?! Was **** but so easy to pull, bagged a fit nurse in there one night, spoke for about 10 minutes, spent the rest of the night on the table snogging each others faces off before being dragged back to her place :smug:
