Dodd is the manager of the academy team apparently.

I for one was glad to see Dodd there, it's a nice link to the clubs history and will hopefully help to dispell all the rubish going round about our Chairman wanting rid of all links to the past.

This football development scheme has been described by a few staff members now as extremely forward thinking and apparently we're "the only club in Britain to use this model".

What exactly is it we're doing that's so different? Are we actually using the Barcelona model of development...?

To be fair, the rubbish going around is only being spread by a handful of individuals. I'm not sure why they have an agenda against the club, but thankfully they are in a tiny minority.

Unfortunately it does not seem to be working it at the moment with very few coming through to the First team.

 

Apart from Oxlade and possibly Gobern which Academy players are going to make it into the First Team this season.

 

We are a League 1 side so standards are not as high as they were previously

I used to work with Daniel Bowman's dad. He must get his talent from is mum's side of the familly!

 

His dad did tell me to watch out for a youngster named Bale who was a few years ahead of his son.
